Mr. Lopez and Mr. Ayers

I flip the history of Bojangles
On a cool Sunday evening
Los Angeles coming down
A flow of oboes breathing
Through the lung of the street
The hobo not stopping for air
Fingers moving in a dance
Across the strings of consciousness
Milking the music of his brain
Onto a breast
Of dilated ears.

Mr. Lopez, unsettled from his comfortable chair
Searching for something to tell
Against the neon of despair
Heard the dulcimer quelling hell
And saw himself standing bare
To the sheetless eyes
Of a man serenading Beethoven
Deaf as a statue
In the city's superfluous air.
Here is where humanity
Sings hope amidst the garden
Of hopelessness
That make direlict dreams
Tugging our divinity
Down to rags of nothingness.

Mr. Ayers, a quaver away
Juliard school in love aspiring
Suddenly there fallen
Amidst the glitter and glamor
Of non-existence
Peace, a basoon
Seducing a Los Angeles moon
Coy as a lover
In the tangle of wine memory
He plays against
The unkown sorrow of the world.
And here dedication
Drives us to distraction
Soon or late
Decomposing our minds
Into shards of glistening memories.

Discovery, today beholding yesterday
A bride for the first time
Amidst the silence of flowers
Cradling weeds and seeds of tomorrow.
Love without purpose
Can change the course
Of splintering history.
He plays, harmony
In where the traffic blares
Yellow light onto his gray matter
Splitting airs with sharp sounds
They echo
Not the common pit, nor
To a single Maestro blending
The mind's kaleidoscope
Before the other's saner wit
Along highways and wind tunnels
He brings to a sombre note
To ode all joys
Strugling repressed under
Human ambition
Ayers is my minstrel
Jarred by a nerve
Not wired for sleep.

Fortune smiles
From the frontier of friendhsips
Fondled by the music
Of love unfranchised
Awakes the lyre
To sing in the resurrection of desire.
Friendship is a sheltering tree
From life's base tragedies.

How

How far would you travel to discover your own truths
If there was no one and no borders to stop you
How old would you wish to be
If only you counted the years or candles on your cake
How long would you hold true to your beliefs
If all that was believable were to vanish once you let go
How deeply would you care for the opinions of others
If your mirror reflected no conscience

How much of you would you surrender to rescue me
If there was nothing in it for you

How close would you dance in the arms of a moonbeam
If the only music playing was the sound of your heartbeat
How deeply would you surrender to passion
If she fulfilled everything but guaranteed nothing
How long could you love truly
If love demanded only the truth from you
How bravely would you stand by the one you love
If it meant standing against all odds

How will you know when you have reached your dreams
When there is nothing held in your dreams that is about you
How much of you would you truly risk
If loving someone was truly dangerous
How long would you wait for someone
If they promised to return someday
How sweetly would you sing
If only the deaf were listening
How far would you reach for me
If you heard my tears in the wind

How much of me should I surrender to rescue you
If there was nothing in it for me

I Do.

Another time,another place,
that's what I think when I see your face.
I feel so comfortable with you,
no wrong can we do.
You seem to know,
what I want to say,
no other girl ,makes me feel
this way.
You look at me with, your
heavenly eyes,
there is no way I could lie.
I love you,
I think you know,
no further allowed to go.
We are both married,
and that's the way, it
will stay.
Remaining friends till
our dying day.
Still I do love you, I
honestly do, it would break
my heart,to loose you.
One more thing I have, to say,
I love you as a friend,
and that's till,
the end.

Kirsten (A Poem By One of My Best Friends)

Kirsten

Kirsten has really pretty eyes,
She's loving, caring, and she never lies.
She helps me whenever I'm lonely or sad,
She doesn't like when boy's are bad.
Cuz she's a nice person and loves Jesus,
And anyone would help her if she ever sneezes.
Her best friend's name is Kath,
My love for her is taking a wrath.
Whenever she's awake, the sun will rise.
She's really cute, and has many natural highs :) (inside joke)
She's really smart in so many ways,
With her in your life, you'll have brighter days.
So give her a chance in your
miserable lives.
Cuz you'll love and miss her whenever
she dies.
But her smiles will never die, but live
forever.
Giving her up will make your
Heart Sever.

Friends

They say they love me,
but i wonder if its true?
"Shut up!" "Stop being stupid"
I dont understand why they fight.
I cry,
i shake,
i slit my wrists until they bleed bright red.
They dont know they do this to me.
they continue to say "i love you"
I hate the fights they get into.
I fear for all our lives
"Your okay" they say
But i really wonder?
Am i okay?
Or are we and the intire world in danger?

Shadow

A man without a friend
Is a man without a heart,
A being without a heart
I'm yet to come across.

I've got a good one,
We were born together
Not a second apart,
Sticks to me like glue.

He falls when i fall,
He sins when i sin
And we rise together
Like man and day.

We love the same damsel,
We lose and win together,
We smile and whine together,
We make love together.

When the time is right,
We will kick the bucket together
And there will be no more of us

Oh!What a loyal friend

My partner to the end
My true companion
My best friend
My able shadow.

James Marshall Goff

Jimmy, do you still drive the big truck
Across the ice laden roads
And swear magnificently at lady luck
When she breaks down with your loads
Of good-natured joy and faith
O you are such a child of insatiable desire
This strong defiance that mingles
With forest creatures like soul akin
This friendly poet of passion that spin
Sweet tales of his familiar places
The honor is mine to love such a friend
Roaming woods and yet to me unmet
Where every wilderness for you a garden
Of undiscovered righteousness
I love the barren, bleak landscapes
That figure your rage
Against the fuel of our discontent
Slavemasters and rip-off wage
I love the beauty of your constraint
How you paint that into words
How you chain that with your words
And then to gloat in childish wonder
At falling snowflakes and flying birds.

This Is Who I Really Am

You love your god,
I love the goddess,
Why does this have to come between us?
You say there’s one right,
And the rest are wrong,
You think this means I don’t belong?
I haven’t changed,
I just lied,
And every time I did, I cried
You’re my best friend
I want you to understand
This is who I really am

Premium Member God Knew Who, What, When, Where, and How

You drew our names from your deep past
I've never questioned why you did so.
From God, a burden, for you was cast
And absented years caused it to grow.

God allowed me to view your life's change
How you'd matured from sand to pearl.
In faith, I'd believed, so it wasn't strange
That when I saw you, you'd remained that girl.

He wanted us to meet your life changing love
The man I'd prayed for, lo all those years.
He came when you were ready from God above
You shared this with me through a veil of tears.

As our dear friend you've been ultra kind
And we love the heart within your chest.
Our relationship needed no cords to bind
God's love secures our friendship best.

My Bestfriend

If you think you have the bestfriend,
Mine's surely got you beat.
Even stand up for me and proudly he'd defend,
You still think your's is better, well can you take the heat?

He laughs at the jokes I make,
Even when they're not that funny.
He excepts the gifts I make,
And says i'm really funny.

I love to hear him sing,
And love to see him laugh.
And when I see him I get and sudden ping,
Of joy surging down my back.

You think you have the bestfriend,
Well I think I made my point.
That mine is surely better,
And your's just has no point.

My Friends

Destiney:

So I was there,
you stupid girl,
Your lifes a wreck,
your world stands still.

I was your friend,
But guess what dear,
You now have found some better friends,
Yet still I'm waiting here.

I do not see why people don't,
see blessings when theyrein their face,
I guess they wont, i know they wont,
ever again feel my embrace.

Dana:

We have been through everything,
When youre alone, to you I'll sing,
We still are shaky, its okay,
we'll get through it all anyway.

It's been hard and its been tough,
but dear yew know were good enough,
and we know that It is tricky,
but well get out of all thats sticky.

Jasmine:

Oh my gosh we clicked so fast,
Its super cool, some peace at last.
We'll bead and watch so much tv,
Best friends you know we'll always be.

Yes were dumb, but we're still 'cool'
We act so wierd, we act a fool,
But guess what honey, I'm a freak,
I love to make things with beads;P

*I love you Dana and Jazz:) go screw yourself Destiny*

Consumed

In this life
i feel the suffering
i understand your pain
and i know that

you love all you can
these feelings are here
you ache within
and try to care

but your heart it breaks
it hurts
it aches
everytime you say goodbye

trying to find yourself
day to day
learning to deal
with the way you feel

Let yourself breathe
and love
dont fall away
stay clear of the fire
try not to consume the flame

Just Untangled a Bit

Just Untangled A Bit

You know I want to belong
I don’t know how strong
This love could carry on
But I am willing to stay
Taking it day by day

You may use me
Or try to confuse me
But I know my love
Is what I am thinking of
It may be very long
But I can’t wait here strong

You’ve got to understand
That I am here to give you a hand
Just untangled a bit
We can make this love a hit

Just hold yourself close to me
Then you will soon see
My love is very much you
My love is very much true

So just untangled a bit
Hold me and please don’t forget
Babe my love this is it
You and I are a hit

Now we are alone
A quiet at home
Darkness of fire and candles
I touch your hair no more tangles

Just untangled a bit
And we can make this love a hit

The Asylum

Your going out, but not the same way you came in,
your walk tall and proud your eyes will hide,
the tears you cried,
for within yourself
you have so much pride.

walk out of here without any fear.
embrace your family who have all along
been there for you,
now for them be strong.
moderate your faith, don't hide behind our lord
religion for some can be a double edged sword.
remember dear friend, when you took your marriage vows,
for you and your husband, they have never been
so important as now.

you have a loving partner, and a sweet little girl,
who needs a loving mother to show her the way,
to grow up with admiration and so much pride,
that she had loving parents there at her side.

so dig deep my dear friend
bring forth all the love you have hidden away
for them you must be their Joan of arc,
stand up and be counted, don't slip back to the dark.

I remember the first day you were pacing the hallway
there i stood blocking your way,
i said hello but your ears did not hear
your eyes did not see,
so the ice queen walked passed me
never came in for tea.

now I've seen the change in you,
you are someone brand new, and I can be proud,
that your a loving person, that I got to know
I thank you especially for the kindness you've shown,
your compassion knows no bounds
you are a star shining brightly
that showered me in light.

you have so much love inside you
that you must set free
just make sure
its aimed at you family

so take care my dear friend
please do one thing for me
pray for your family
as I will for thee.
