Time and the Lack of Time

Today the time creeps slowly from the east to the west; across the grey heavy sky.
Forty something is weighing on my mind, keeping me boggled down with guilt at my
lack of accomplishments on this short journey.
We call life, breathe in and breathe out. The world judges us
by exterior appearances and the amount of money we have in the bank.
Time ticks and the pendulum swings, whether we are standing still or not.
The journey and path we take, determines how our time will end.
Rain is eminent upon the earth and the clouds have brought a cool crispness to the air.
My thoughts still betray; second guessing my life's journey.
Now is all I really have, time to focus on the goal and get started.
Note to self: forgive yourself! God has already.

Time and the lack of time

One More Time

i keep saying one more time
one more time
over and over again
Once that chance ends another one always begins.
With each chance there's this regret.
I wish i never knew you like another persons secret.
Why does everything have to go down the drain.
why is your presence my pain
why does when i walk away down comes rain
with and without you make my life go insane

one more time never came with a smile
one more time ruin my worth while
each one more time i waited for a change
one more time my feeling neva seemed to be rearrange
when will you show me the proof
when will you stop ruining my parade and put up a roof

why want you appreicate my one more time
one day there won't be a one more time
it won't be yours and it couldn't be mine
cause i refuse to give out one more "im fine"
when i know im lying through each line
i give you again one more time

Forgiveness

A time when I was alone,
A time when you were too.
We found each other there,
And we helped to make it through.

I wouldn’t be without you;
I’d keep you by my side.
If hurt, I’d make them pay,
Forever and a day.

But I myself have hurt my friend,
And I don’t know what to do.
But I think I’d like to drop my spite,
And crawl back to you if that’s alright.

A Second Chance

There are times in life,
We would like to forget.
An occasional strife,
That led to feelings of regret.
Then somewhere along the way,
We will be given a second chance.
This will be the day,
We will be able to change our stance.
Then what will originate,
Will last forever.
The special bond that we create,
No one or nothing will be able to sever.
It now becomes so clear,
The time spent is not measured in quantity.
Instead—our hearts will forever keep near,
The time spent that had quality.
It is never too late,
To make amends.
Not until it is guided by fate,
And one’s time descends.
