A Second Chance

There are times in life, We would like to forget. An occasional strife, That led to feelings of regret. Then somewhere along the way, We will be given a second chance. This will be the day, We will be able to change our stance. Then what will originate, Will last forever. The special bond that we create, No one or nothing will be able to sever. It now becomes so clear, The time spent is not measured in quantity. Instead—our hearts will forever keep near, The time spent that had quality. It is never too late, To make amends. Not until it is guided by fate, And one’s time descends.
