Use me to open a heart,
To silence the dark,
To restore someone’s hope.
Use me to hear a soul,
To gentle the worst doubt,
To stir up a fire, your spirit.
Use me to pray and praise,
Throughout all my days,
With this grace who’ll amaze.
Jesus, use me
To move another to love,
To sing your song, euphonious
To offer grace, as you have done.
Use me to hear your advice,
To understand, even the strife,
To believe, accept, delight…
In the beauty that You provide,
The music you play inside,
The joy of knowing Your light!

To relieve someone’s grief,
To inspire a moment to breath,
To send faith to those in need.
Use me to carry a burden for a friend,

Forever, You are the presence who brings

Sweetheart, you've gone to be with God!
Deep down, I know it's best.
Your pain and suffering's ended,
you're in a peaceful rest.
Cigarettes, destroyed your lungs
and caused your tragic end!
For months, you struggled breathing,
which was hard to comprehend.
So many cherished memories,
I have, of me and you!
But, now you're gone and I'm alone,
I don't know what to do!
It's gonna take some time to heal,
at least, that's what they say!
I know it won't be easy,
I'll just have to hope and pray.
I stare across, my lonely bed,
to where you used to lie.
I try to wish you back again,
but, all I do is cry!
So, I have your ashes in an urn,
right beside our bed!
That's where they're gonna stay, Sweetheart,
just like we always said!
Right now, my future's kinda bleak!
I realize, that's true!
To carry on without you,
will be, near impossible to do!
I keep thinking, I'll get over this!
I keep thinking, there's a way!
The only problem is, my love'
it'll be, forever and a day!

Each February brings that special chance,
One day a year to say the words of love,
Without a love to share the wined romance,
Instead I look up to the stars above,
While remembering days when we would dance.
Those nights I held you close, so close to me,
Or held your hand while walking by the shore,
Those times we were young and loving free,
Yet now each day means that I miss you more,
But when I close my eyes you’re all I see.
No day goes by without a thought of you,
Each morning brings that now familiar ache,
And skies never seem to be quite as blue,
For you, my heart, I can never forsake,
You are my words and ev’rything I do .
Each February brings that special chance,

I have a love to share divine romance,
When e’er I look up to the stars above,
And remember the time you and I danced.

(Note for contest:I wrote this 15 years when my Mother passed away. Yet some how the She was so much more than the Mother I sought every night in my dreams, She became a prophetic longing that loomed on my every horizon where I longed for home. The place of belonging I sought, the coming home I never found.)
Today…
two strangers fell in love
and they vowed their friendship
to be forever and a day
They said…
no to a life of pain and hardship
that only together they would find
true love
With blessings…
friends came to celebrate
and watch over their union
from sunrise to sunset
A light canvas…
illuminated their love
and holding hands even till death
they would never be parted
Truth be told…
I am part of this bond
and my love’s heart beats with mine
forever and a day
I thought we were,
The perfect pair.
I thought we had it,
Special and rare.
I remember our talks,
Going to the bay.
Side by side,
We always met halfway.
If you leave, I surely
Would follow.
You ran away,
A hard pill to swallow.
I could never have,
Turned to another.
We were rock steady,
Then came your mother.
I believed in our love,
It Was one of a kind.
You and me together,
The stars have aligned.
My world shattered,
It is cold and dark.
This feeling of suffering,
This broken heart.
Now you look at me
With hate and disgust.
Justify it any way you need to,
If you must.
I gave you all I had,
I gave you, my best.
It proved too much for you,
My heart you still possess.
You are not solo,

Talk to them about family traditions,
Connecting with members of family past.

I was so happy the day I became your wife

Now pain cuts me like a knife everyday

My Love Forever incomplete is what you feel today, my Life was hard I didn't know that Love like yours would come my way..
It hurts so much because I cant go back to that very day.
so now i sit here to contemplate on the path that i have made . .
