Beholder

She walked along the warm and salty beaches of a Bahamian dream, while the radiance of the suns kiss danced on her honey baked skin quickly painting a caramel hue of beauty. She illustrated the kind of beauty that his wonderings were just surreal of the real queen he crowned. She was not the usual epitome of the beholder, but in his eyes, she permeated his soul that soaked through every space once filled with fantasies of melancholy that were nightmares of a dream. She restored his happiness that was void but had been resurfaced by her glorious existence.
 Now he did not quite showcase the handsomeness of the handsome but in her eyes he caught the salty streams that walked down her face many times but now exhibiting hope of despairs fear of joy and peace of a piece of his lost but resuscitated heart. With future wonderings, they are their personal personnel of the task, job hired by the almighty of heavenly white without any shades of pink slips between iridescent fingers entangled as one beautiful piece of lace that laces their hearts. Their destiny is only determined by an infinite possibility of infinity that may be…or not.

Sedated Hope

The age of premonition and belief in false speculations…
A firm believer of the grace now devoted to inelegance…
All it stated was an untainted fib…
Darkened fiend now restive within…

Falling by the force of an ill-defined revelation…
Swimming through cadavers of lies…
Illusive delusions cast before my perception…
All hopes are sedated by my hands…

 Sheer inanity I commit exhibiting my buoyant stance…
Imperceptible shadows ridicule a common jest…
And those divine shall affix to fantasizing…
…As the rest battle with a fettered fiend within…

Sightlessly chose to pursue the affectionate call…
Veracity being a neglected constituent…
Sedated hope – call of the day…
…As aspiration thaws endlessly to oblivion…

Hope tends to soar higher by the progress of the seconds…
Peak exists for all which tends to be limitless…
Crash the new-born hope which unites with obscurity…
 A premature plummet is beneficial to the torn essence…

A moon once elegant now darkened by the malevolent night…
Haunted by the iniquity ever so fervent…
And I run towards that which proffers solace…
Hands of murder soaked in the blackest blood…

The despaired yearning silently for another sunrise…
Darkened soul haunted by notions of a dim collapse…
Equipped with a blade ever so assertive…
The green earth now stained with blood of the fallen…

 And desires for that which lies in the other realm…
…Endlessly distant from the dream which was once breathing…
Attempting to never dream for the unattainable…
Sedated hope – call of the day…

Written: March 08, 2023
                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Open the ledger, it's spring,
From that chasm as they'd frozen
Those days suddenly reappear
Died on your lips as they appear,
We have shared countless kisses
Roses return, exhibiting your scent;
They are the heart of your lover
Anguish reappears, I sense my pain
Sorrow of forgotten friends.
With arms of moon-silver
Strokes of long-lost ladies
I peruse every single page,
Answers are not available
And it's springtime yet again
creating identical queries
Reopening specific accounts.
Nestled in the gentle pastels
Of the softly sparkling dusk
My soul beams as I gaze alone
Softly throwing a kiss
Swaying with the evening breeze;
A tender kiss whispered,
A question sealed in the grip of desire,
A soft murmur of my thirst.
With each strand of yearning,
Persistent within my soul
Here's a kiss, a hidden secret
Across the expansive gap
It holds all my aspirations
My dreams my serene queries;
A sibylline serenade, full of love
I fail to disguise.
The desire in the air is palpable,
With the kiss rising lift,
A hopeful dance, a ballet of love
They swing with grace and extravagance
They glide across the starry sky,
Under the dulcet kiss of a full moon
A fetching fervor flock this trip
Passion runs deep.
With each web of my being
I embody this warm embrace,
Hoping it goes beyond the space
And discovers your purest grace,
I've given my heart with this kiss
An appeal for you to grip;
My passion runs deep
And my feelings for you.
Being Kindhearted
Kindheartedness is being quite generous
A considerate attitude that is from the inside
No price tag is placed on being accommodating
Being benevolent and affectionate is cordial
Willing to give everything for nothing in return.
A trait that is not always an inherited tendency
One to be heartily imbibed and truly developed
A behaviour that stands one out in the crowd
Exhibiting true amiable and amicable qualities
Portraying brotherly,sisterly,fatherly & motherly love.
When you are humane and quite propitious
They say you are beneficient and philanthropic
When you are soft-hearted or tender-hearted
They talk of you as being thoughtful & understanding
You are a bounteous bonhomie & benign personality.
Exuding a calid courteous and altrustic aura
Places you on a pedestal different from others
Extraneous factors may want to impede on you
The propensity of your kindheartedness surpasses
Showcasing your nature as an outstanding being.
Who Is This Me---
It was later I knew that perception was just the opening key
Age unveiled to me the need to advance my thinking
I sought to know more about me
There came a school of thought
that face-lifted my thinking
It said:
‘You’re a spirit: you have a soul and live in a body’
This advanced thought made me a changed person
I thought I knew myself best
but had no idea this was just a test.
(iii)
I worked through the rigor of self-discovery
It was then I knew I needed an actual recovery
I searched inwards to know who I really was
It was then I recognize I’d been playing the Dicey Knowledge Toss
I got a welling up from the inside who I am
It echoed:
‘You are a transcendent entity-- stretching beyond the bounds of gender polarity---yet, exhibiting the energies of masculinity and feminine characteristics in situations of interest to bring about harmony with the natural forces---wind, earth, water and fire and with self.’
I was changed ever since.
Who is this me has become the new me ever since
My quest to know more of me had been tense
I can now confidently boast about my knew knowledge defense
I am getting to know more of me, though
I can boldly say: ‘I can move my personal toe’
My getting to know myself is clearer
It is all about moving myself better
Somewhere there is a system
If one decides to study and listen
Finding global position
To finish its mission
Here we go shooting for the moon
Showing the kids lovely cartoons
And teaching them of a big blue marble
Such a life full of marvel
Then later in the day
There are sports all over the world they say
Using a satellite link
This is great the post-Vietnam innocent does think
For into space
Visual communication technology builds its case
Now in the two thousands
Mostly climbed this planet’s mountains
It is the darkness that has us eager to explore
Trying to open a mysterious door
This is how it goes
Being a super power you know
We are the best
From all the rest
Having beauty and brains
In our arsenal of gains
And paths to peacefully complain
But there seems to be something wrong
With our patriotic song
Did we over play our moralistic hand?
Helping others take a stand?
Or was it the fantasy we love to boast
Celebrating modernization coast to coast
On this Fourth of July
When we recount separation from King George’s lies
Let’s rehabilitate the red, white and blue patient
And make it a healthy nation
First prescription is respect and trust
Second would understand others without a fuss
If we can handle that
Not acting like spoiled brats
Our goals may come alive
Returning to the energy that is giving the best try
While exhibiting the all American rally cry
Premium Member My Commitment To God's Great Commission
Here I am ready to obey You, God,
The Supreme Commander Who gave His marching order…
This mandate He imperatively expressed in Matthew 28:18-20
Of the Holy Scriptures:
“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
And of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
Even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Here am I committed to live for You, my Lord by Your grace
To give my utmost part and best in fulfilling the Great Commission
May I do so with earnestness…
Forbid me to make a mere show of sincerity
In the guise of holiness, yet deceiving…
Forgive my guilty conscience, afflicted with shame’s pangs
As I seek Your kingdom first
Investing in Your business of righteousness.
Here is my heart, devoted to involve in Your work, my Master
Help me with Your Holy Ghost’s influence…
Please restrain me in exhibiting arrogant progress
In the power of my flesh…
Enable me to hide in Your might and surrender to Your leading
Conquering pride’s insolence
I need you so I can perform with faith
Sharing Your Gospel of salvation-security.
Here is my all, grateful to You, my Creator for Your granted privilege
To labour for Your Great Commission’s endeavor…
 I accept Your assignment willingly, assured by Your compassion’s fire
To win souls, teach biblically, minister to others thru Your mercy
While walking with You, praying in the Spirit
Toward Your granted triumph with joy and peace…
Keep me in Your care, since without You, I am nothing
And that I can do all things thru You, my Strength*!
*Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Premium Member Of Children There Are Three-My Lovely Children
Of children born to me, there are three
One on my heart, one on my lap, one on my knee
Comparison is impossible of them now
They are all so different somehow
One has a musical gift, one an artist
Another mechanical talents started
God blessed us with each child in so many ways
By the joy of each birth on their special day
Our son a handsome babe with a little downy hair
One daughter was a long girl with complexion so fair
Our youngest daughter had touch of red in her hair
Woke each morning early to greet us exhibiting gentle air
They each love God and are His adopted child
Growing each day in His love and mercy mild
I thank God that I got to know them from birth
It is so great to see them develop into souls of worth
American Heart
America resides within the heart of all
Who believe in freedom, choice, voice and opportunity
Deny, not, the display of pride within yourself
Or else you’d deny pride in this land of the free
America, more than land, it’s home to you and me
Some dare tread, take arms against and try to squash
All that America ever stood for, which is evident to all
They fear the freedom, strength and all that’s offered
As they know, against us, they would never stand tall
And for all their attempts, America makes them fall
This 9-11, let us not focus on terrorist actions
But, on those Americans lost, that still live in our hearts
Remember and honor them by living the American dream
Exhibiting the ideals and always doing our part
Showing all, America has muscle but lives through its heart
Forget-Me-Nots
Across the field, I trampled a path
When I held back and marveled to see,
Near the babbling brook beneath the trees,
A sea of blue of scorpion grass:
Tiny blooms asway in waves of glee,
Of forget-me-nots, and thirsty bees.
From end to end, as far as I could see,
In the serene lea, they spread their petals,
Exhibiting beautiful visuals
On the gentle slope, swaying in the breeze.
I looked back at the path and then ahead,
Enthralled as to where destiny had led.
The sun shone down with warmth unsurpassed
As the wind blew over cool, fresh air.
They fluttered about extraordinaire
Expressing their amour unabashed.
I was enamoured by their charisma
Under the sky of terra firma.
And when I’m dismayed to see storm clouds brew
And lacklustre negative thoughts prevail,
I reminisce their presence in the meadow,
Of powder blue amongst a greenery view.
Then, my eyelids succumb, and I envision
Fields of forget-me-nots abloom in heaven.
                          ***
Note:
   The Myosotis (meaning mouse’s ear due to the resemblance of the shape of their leaves), aka forget-me-not flower, is also known as scorpion grass because of its spiralling stem leading to its flower head, which looks like a scorpion tail.
   Forget-me-nots are biennial plants (i.e., they have a life span of two years) that emit no scent. They bloom from May to October and are associated with the birth month of September, along with the aster and morning glory. Forget-me-nots symbolize love, respect, and remembrance.
He Sat At the Bar
He sat at the bar,
She had just left
To use the restroom,
And he pondered
His situation.
Yes,
She was beautiful,
Curves in the right places,
Weave perfectly done,
Not a track in sight,
Outfit exhibiting all
That God had blessed her with,
But.....
But she spent more time
In the hairdresser's chair
Than she spent in bookstores.
Philosophical conversations
Left him confused and
He was a philosophy major.
Yes,
She was pretty,
But she was like
A beautiful vase,
Pretty on the outside,
Empty on the inside.
He sat at the bar,
Trying to put words together
Kind enough
Not to damage her ego,
Strong enough
To let her know
That they were over.
Words pulled him
From his thoughts,
They came from somewhere
Behind him,
They were a mix of
Male and female,
Peppered with a rhetoric
His mind hungered for.
Slowly, he turned around,
Searching the bar
For a couple
In deep conversation.
They sat two yards away,
Two book ends,
Brother and sister.
He sipped his whiskey,
Pretending to be taking in
The whole bar scene,
But he was really
Fixated on her,
Fixated on the dialogue.
She was no stunner
By society's standards,
But the more she spoke,
The more he was enamored.
She glance his way
And smiled, not knowing
That in that gesture
She stole his heart.
Just as he was about
To stand,
To join them,
To introduce himself,
To join this battle of words,
His woman appeared.
She whispered naughty things,
Delicious, seductive things,
Things that would have made
Him forget himself.
Not this time,
Or any time in the future.
He spread out the
Roughly sewn patchwork
Of words he had planned to tell her,
Then he bid her goodbye,
Slipping out of her grasp.
He didn't join
The brother and sister,
He just walked out of the bar.
He was not that kind of guy,
The kind that would
Break up with one woman
And pursue another
In the space of five minutes.
It was two weeks later
When he saw the sister again,
This time, he joined her,
This time, he introduced himself,
This time, he planned to be with
A woman that stimulated him
Mind, body and soul.
Dreams and Mini Beauty Queens
DREAMS AND MINI BEAUTY 	   	    QUEENS
Held hostage in yards of lace and taffeta, they stand stiff and poised.
Exhibiting a collage of
rhinestones and sequins sewn meticulously amongst every
frill and ruffle they rigidly
parade the stage.
This gala event of frenzied competition - the infamous
 kiddie beauty pageant
Wearing pasty concrete smiles,
lost in confusing, tangled webs of lipstick and lollipop pops,
cheering and  cheerios .
Moving with “Stepford” precision
motivated by soda pop,
sugar cubes and wildly
animated antics of off-stage parents.
A glitzy glamorous grownup world
of poise and fashion while
at war with a pesky tooth fairy.
Feeling one way but
primed to act another.
Behind false lashes,
coiffed hair, plastic teeth
the true innocent soul emerges.
Missed naps, fatigue,
 the looming possibility of failure
 guilt and disappointment
leaving trails of raccoon eyes,
and  tear stained powder streaked faces.
Encouragement or exploitation?
A lesson in mastering self expression and confidence
or a lesson that true self-worth
dependant upon one’s physical appearance?
One must ask what true values are being taught.
Purple Hue
Today the clouds have a purple hue,
Not like yesterday when they were blue.
Does the purple hue bring gloom and doom,
Or does it imbue a hint of pink in view?
The clouds have flattened,
And lost their cumulus shape.
Now exhibiting a lenticular view,
Still exposing the purple hue.
It appears something could be hidden,
Inside the disc-shaped cloud.
Could it be something from afar,
Just visiting to see how we are?
