Best Esquire Poems
His students proud to so declare
He is a Chef Extraordinaire
Keeping love for evermore
His late wife, sweet Lenore
From his mountain he looks out
Finding inspiration all about
Writing words from living life
His past, his share of human strife
He writes with such emotion deep
Poetry that often makes me weep
He hasn't written much of late
Ill health has been his recent fate.
But, thanks to God he's on the mend
My best wishes I daily send
For all my life, my dearest friend
HG, my love to you I send...

You should have seen this tree before the winter came
Before the sun broke faith with its suckling leaves
Before the heavy ice of time sagged its limbs
Before its roots were singe in a frigid flame.
Did you know HG Daniel then, did you walk with him
Through spring and hear him sing of his king
Did he teach you "the elements of survival," when Eden
Closed its gate on us did he tell you its lore
And make you long for earth's long lost heaven
Though he struggles "not a man as before"?
I knew this tree when spring was a leaf of tongue
And poets sip the nectar of imagination young
I read him in rhyme and works of tribute
To fair Barbara and other members of the soup
Before the strokes, his loss of wife, and the loop
Of pall upon his hand with which he paint his love.
He is a noble tree, a great one in our forest of rhymes
A brother in arms of faith, a comrade, a friend
I send him prayers today, and wait for yours to come
This tree still from autumn mist a few fruit holds
Of friendship, love, and loyalty to the babbling scrolls.

Your great collection of vinyl.
It is your own attire.
Room's painted with acryl.
It is my suppressed ire.
Your gave me yet another drill
By the electric fire.
In hopes to develop a skill
Of plausible liar.
Your dear place has far too much frill,
Outside there is barbed wire.
You like the melody of trill,
Nice voices in the choir,
Along the calming sound of quill
And a piano wire.
Did you ever hear horror shrill?
When living rights expire?
Do you possess just enough will
To set my soul on fire?
What should I do that you could kill
In rage out of desire?
I went outside to play with Jill
A mere half hour prior.
Lunch of salad with pickled dill.
Bypassed a black friar.
When will you finally retire?
Do not get mad. You chill!
And give me that pocket hair dryer.
One hundred dollar bill?
Please, there's no need. There is no dire
Emergency. So chill!
Pass me my magic happy pill,
You're elegant esquire!

Lyric
It seems you were gone for ever so long,
Your soup friends were all feeling blue.
We missed your wonderful heartfelt writes,
And were eager to share a laugh with you too.
Crashing computers are so terribly frustrating,
When there are words thatyou just must share,
I suppose you could always use paper and pen,
Just keep posting, and know how much we care.

I will be faithful and reveal to you the facts,
You are mine in life and as soul, subtract.
Because when I die, all fables will be seen,
Your aesthetic gaze will murder my spleen!
If every star dims away or expires,
I should start to gaze at a blazing fire.
And accept the complete dark sublime,
However, this may require a bit of time.
Your love transcends my ability to repay,
I wish you abundant happiness, I pray.
So, while we're living, let's pursue love,
Then, even posthumously, life may shove.
A silk ladder is extending across the vine,
That one dangles precariously over the line.
The tragic blend of your entrance and exit,
Love you in a holistic manner, with no limit.
She walks as beautifully as the night,
With pristine expanses and twinkling skies.
And all that is finest in dark and bright,
Connected to her appearance and eyes;
Such squashed by the gentle light,
Which paradise to lavish day denies.
I'll enumerate the forms I love you,
I love you to the depths, scope, and view.
When I feel adrift, my spirit can cope,
For the sake of being an ideal scope.
Concealed from all, love is a hidden flame,
A delicate but piercing wound frame.
an inherently wretched state of happiness,
a raging pain that does not induce savviness.
This is the eremite's never-ending wanderlust,
Yours is the April-to-April love, modernist.
I began to twirl long after you had gone,
Your excited fingers point me to the drawn.
The shimmering, one vast claiming heart,
Esquire, who is both charming and smart.
I am reliable; I will express to you what I mean,
In both life and after death, you're my queen.
Since all the truth will be unveiled once I die,
Then, your two exquisite eyes will make me sigh.
Nothing in this broad cosmos is single,
In a shared spirit, all us gather and mingle.
Love confines me and teaches me to care;
You are the culprit, and you allow me to share.
Helping me cope, you offer me hope,
my dreams and aspirations began to slope.
Life fills each season without a reason.
a hollow life migrates with every season.

Free verse
He said to once again enquire
About the things he should acquire,
Which their Law School Programs require
From one seeking to be Esquire
And he's shown a gown of a Choir
He'd seen in a jeep like Sequoia:
On a good friend,catechist Isaiah,
Then, firing the jeep in a mire
In front of a kiosk Of Keziah
"No to a choir- like esquire:
Readers of Book of Obadiah..."
