Premium Member God's Role In Leadership

No doubt there are some folks who will scoff at the concept I propose,
But I think God chose courageous leaders when times of adversity arose.
He's done a pretty good job of selecting people who acted with determination,
To bring triumph out of chaos leading others to their ultimate salvation!

He selected Moses to lead His people out of bondage to the Promised Land.
Through many trials and tribulations they reached freedom under his command!
He chose a Babe to lead His Kingdom here on earth for the redemption of man.
Though He was rejected and was to die on The Cross, He rose to rule again!

Washington was named to break the bonds of tyranny that bound this nation.
He faced formidable obstacles - lesser men would have given up in frustration!
God wisely chose Lincoln who led a broken nation with wisdom and resolve.
Though facing untold challenges he persevered that a united nation might evolve!

That mighty oak, Roosevelt, led the nation to victory during World War Two.
God named him the leader and gave him the strength to see the battle through!
Surely God chose Martin Luther King to deliver his message of reconciliation,
To strive for the integration of all races and religions of this great nation!

Senor Luis Urzua, the hero of the Chilean mine disaster and highly respected boss,
With superb leadership reunited 33 miners with their families without a single loss!
To list all great leaders who by God's grace have emerged down through the ages,
Is certainly beyond my meager abilities but would fill tomes and tomes of pages!

Treasure

these are the words of a seeker of light
a believer in the knowledge of old
through our fathers we reach a new height
from their lives, and the stories they've told

we must never forget, or sunder the ties
that binds us all to our past
for that is where our virtue lies
honoring them, our Nations will last

the river is calling out to be free
and the sky, is where it's spirit will fly
now, i hear the gentle voice of the tree
gathering the winds, as they go by

the fish in the river frolic with the bait
as our men on the bank strive to catch some
they seldom see them, yet still they wait
landing a few, whose time has come

the dog is silent, and watching for now
the beaver is home dry, and resting
we could be as free, if we knew how
to ride lifes wave to its' cresting

there are birds on the water, and some overhead
they float, or soar, with the ease of belonging
each content to live where God has led
feeling no sense of lacking, or longing

deer come down to the shallows to drink
then return, to lay again in the shade
they have no reason for fear, they think
knowing somehow, our meals are all made

i look to my poeple, and see reflections of me
listen to the shouts, of the children at their game
i am at peace, and the spirits agree
this land and our TREASURE, are one and the same

we've cars now, and jobs for the taking
and fierce pride in anscestors long gone
ours is a "new" life, of our own making
and our Fathers are still with us, as we go on

living this life that we love
with peace, and harmony in the sharing
looking always to God above
for He is "Creator", alive, and still caring

as long as our Mother, this land, is still somewhere
and Wakan Tonka (?) lives in my heart
then where i am, He is there
nobility, honor, pow'r and love cannot part

all this concrete, these people, so different from me
that surrounds, and closes off my horizons
all the baubles, light, shadows, trinkets, and wares that i see
can't seperate me from the Wise Ones

they are only proof that i'm free

and i can still go home

He's Epic

He is beautiful and bold.
He is sculpted to perfection.
He always boasts about his day in his own very egotistical way.
He makes women want just to be with him.
He is bold and buff.
He is chiseled with precision.
He has a heart of a black panther,
He fears no evil.
God made him exceptional.
Men want to be him or fight side by side with him.
He is buff and God like, stronger than any other and powerful beyond measures.
He has the mind of a scholar,
And on top sits a beautiful head of honey blond locks.
And below, is a pair of beautiful crystal blue eyes.
His uniform fits him like a stunning second skin
And underneath is his bullet proof mail shirt,
His muscles are bulging and ripping.
And legs molded just right for battle, can really enhance the fantasy.
But being bold, beautiful, and buff and God like is only a plus for him,
Because there is nothing he cannot and will not do.
His bravery can be built up to form a new body.
Who or whatever shall dare him, will definitely walk away in despair.
If he has to slay the devils dandruff dealers,
He does it with no problem and one hand.
Grotesque monsters with guns and knives and other wars,
Right, they don’t stand a chance against this superman.
Soul stealing bandits and crooks,
Are no matches for this brave man.
Nobody evil in the world can defeat him,
Because he is an unconquerable creature-
A self righteous hero.
The smartest man in the universe.
The greatest warrior ever made.
Because he is so close to the Almighty.
The toughest, roughest, most gorgeous, protector of them all:
He is a Policeman.

Anymore

I'm crying out for the lost souls of deception
but the only thing I can find is the path to anialtion
I don't know what to believe any more
if this is paradise I don't even know if God is real anymore
the guns the steeling I don't know if earth can receive anymore
woman are being raped and beat I don't know if they should conceive anymore
then you travel to different lands of the world and their crying out in the darkness they
can't
bare no pain anymore
then you think to yourself if this is paradise what is hell anymore
If there's a God and in the bible it say there's a door why don't you knock anymore
families are losing their children and there's no fight anymore
destroy nothing else if this is the fate of the world let us suffer no longer anymore
let this be the end only the mind is able to suffer so greatly, but the heart on longer
can exist
anymore......

If I Could Talk To the One Who Created Me?

if I could talk to God what would I say?
I often wondered if I ever got the opportunity
what would I ask the One who created me?

Would I address Him as God, Father, Master, Jehovah or Creator?
would I shake His hand, give Him a hug, kiss His cheek, or do a High-5?
I'm not sure what I would do but I know one day I will be face to face
with the One who created me

Would He give me a hug or a kiss on the forehead ?
would He call me His child, sister or Louise?
would He answer all my questions?
I often wondered if in the presence of God
will the mystery be revealed

I would want to know about the prophets in the Bible
I would want to comprehend the meaning of life
and my purpose and reason for being
Yes I would like to sit down with a good cup of coffee and talk to God

Yes I would ask about why certain people depart this earth when they do
Yes I would ask why He created this world, this universe and humanity
Yes I would discuss religion, faith and belief
and Yes I would talk about war, the Enemy and what He desires from mankind

If I could talk to the One who created me
what would I say if given this opportunity?
