Silence

I await something with my heart a pounding
What it is unclear but i feel a nagging doubting
There is a deathly silence in this space i fear
My demise is close i fear it’s so near
Where the oceans kiss crashes hopelessly apart
In the midst of this silence i fear my broken heart
As i enter the water the breeze envelops me
Calling my name and lovingly caressing me
I walk further in until i can bear it no longer
Some powerful force stubbornly pulls me to shore
I open my eyes to my eyes to see my heartbreaks cure
Oh how the silence has deepened into lyrics so pure
I am in heaven so serene i feel i am sure

Death's Unknown Hour

Many fear loss,
I fear death indeed...not knowing
when it'll come.

Helping the Helpless

Cashed out, spun out, strung out
Ate up.... Malnourished, monkey riding piggyback
You fear you wont get your nickelbag
I fear you might get your children back
Numbing emotion swept up in crushed pill cyclones
Searching for elation through pupil dilation
who's that girl in the mirror?
              You're behind the wheel...but who's gonna steer?

Second chances, interventions, and heartbreaks
we part ways...you wave bye---pipe in hand
Set sail on the fumes you inhale,
    into an inebriated sunset, hell-bent
Scarred up, trail marks, trailer parks
  Alleyway transactions, disease contractions...
Hand shake deals...see how this smack feels
SMACK! Down in a spiral of C.O.D. O.D.
pricetag on a fatality.........you payed for this reality

My eyes well up...stand in rainfall, no fear
no one will see the tears here.

           No mourning your self-wrought slaughter...
Im here for your motherless daughter

I led her by the hand...away from a misery you called life

Deaths Mistress

I am, that is unbareable to see myself as anything but in the embrace of his loving arms.
The feel of his bony hands as he caresses my hair. It will be alright he says come walk with
me fear no evil, let me reap you, time for the pain, anger, the fear will be no more, and
forever will you sleep in these loving arms. For I will forever be your lover.

Sonnet 11

'Twas not a night I have not thought of death
Coming to me in seconds of my sleep
With hands of skull and bone to touch my breath
And take it from the lungs thy body keep

Wherefore shall I travel upon thy touch
Eternal sleepless nights above or low?
To take away the lust of air is such
A path I am in fear to cross and go

In fear I fumble words that will not speak
Weak of disease, alone and old in age
Thy faith is frail and will more even weak
This soul inside has yet not freed its cage

The nightmare is knowing that death is near
And stencils of the pain that's drawn from fear

The Valley of Death

I walk through the Valley of Death
I fear no evil
Bodies line the road in an endless carpet
Killed in ages of meaningless wars
Fought for land, money or oil
Diseases created by man
A way to kill thousands without being responsible
Poverty caused by the rich
Their money locked away in secure vaults
No one allows it to help the poor
Innocent children killed by their parents
The people who were supposed to love them
In the Valley Of Death I cannot fear evil
It is the thoughts of man that I fear
For those thoughts are dangerous
Far more dangerous
Than anything evil could devise

A Call

It was 10am
And I stood still wondering why
Did'nt want to cry did'nt know why
Then came the call
I neally dropped to the floor
What was I going to find
My head full of panic
My body aching with manic
Got to the ward and saw my family
There faces said all
I wanted to crumble because of there stare
Doctors came in and sat us down
Told us words that we did'nt understand
Thats my nan as I ran to her
There she lay a night and a day
I prayed and prayed my fear my unbelieving eyes cried
Not my nan not my nan please not my nan please I beg
In and out the doctors came a day and a night
I prayed please please please don't take my nan
Then things went mad family came in and stood still
The time stood still the air stopped in the room
I knew what was happening silence overbearing silence
I took her hand and kissed her face a powdered cheek
My nan My nan
I watched and held My nan as her spirt was taken
From panic to fear to sudden calm
I will always love my nan...

Fear

Fear is the thing most people can’t seem to get away from.
The taste of your own sweat when you know it might be your turn.
The sight of the shadow that makes your skin crawl.
The fear that you feel when you know he is coming.
The smell of your own flesh as it rots.
You don’t want to even go there.
You hear his footsteps as he comes for you.
There is no where to hide. He is here for you and you alone.
As you touch the face of death,
The thing you fear the most,
You will feel no more.
