Silence

I await something with my heart a pounding
What it is unclear but i feel a nagging doubting
There is a deathly silence in this space i fear
My demise is close i fear it’s so near
Where the oceans kiss crashes hopelessly apart
In the midst of this silence i fear my broken heart
As i enter the water the breeze envelops me
Calling my name and lovingly caressing me
I walk further in until i can bear it no longer
Some powerful force stubbornly pulls me to shore
I open my eyes to my eyes to see my heartbreaks cure
Oh how the silence has deepened into lyrics so pure
I am in heaven so serene i feel i am sure

As an Indian your perceptions of silence as tied to nature are different from those of us in the west who tend to contrast it with busy urban sounds and technological chatter... BRAVO Chhavi! ...it was a pleasure to read this marvelous piece... Best wishes, Keith
