Best Counteracts Poems
Now, at last, I finally understand:
I can never be complete within myself...
without You, my emotions betray me,
my mind counteracts itself,
hope will flee me, despair will eat me,
unless I reach out for Your love
with a child's open arms....

Galactic curls in spirals swirl, entwining twisted mystery,
where time unrolls in blackened holes, no longer bright and blistery,
but writ like runes on starry dunes enclosed in cosmic history
Galactic dust, from novas' gusts, congesting empty spaces
once fatefully flung beyond the tongue of burnt out astral traces,
may recompress and coalesce in distant times and places
Galactic dwarves, like ancient wharves with silent planets mooring
yet still in spin though long done in, hide flares no longer soaring -
magnetic webs of eons ebb, in thermal fusion roaring
Galactic tides warp space divides, call forth sublime creation
while bending clocks in rippled shocks, unfolding time dilation
that seems to crown the flowing gown of pulsars' pulsed gyration
Galactic stew, a seething brew, midst background noise and chatter
like Chaos reigns, the sole remains of missing antimatter,
with just a trace to form a space-time, curved or somewhat flatter
Galactic glue holds something new: dark energy and matter
that interacts and counteracts the ancient Big Bang splatter:
a cosmic soup of strings and loops, a universal batter
Galactic life's replete and rife 'neath lactic milky wafer,
though solar gales leave unseen trails of cosmic rays, the strafer;
but nonetheless, one must confess, it seems there's nowhere safer

Is it just me or do all old guys drool
At the sight of every young chickie
Could it be I'm a perverted old geezer
Or normal but no longer picky
Once thought I was quite sophisticated
With very discerning tastes and all
But the older I get, the less picky I am
Probably need a complete overhaul
Don't go calling me a nasty old pervert
Females were meant to be admired
I'm sure they're totally aware of this fact
By some of their provocative attire
Sure not complaining, trust me on this
Wouldn't have it any other way
Just to ogle these beauties walking by
Brightens up the dullest of days
Not a pervert, just a healthy old male
Enjoying the finer things in life
The female form in all it's perfection
Counteracts all of life's strife

Your the first thing i think of, when I start to wake
The last person I text, before I end the day with sleep
The person I can count on, to never to tell a lie
The only person I am afraid of, when he says goodbye
Only man I know, to never raise his voice
counteracts my arguments, even when Im right
The only person to say, he thinks he is too nice
Thinks that I am made up, of sugar and the spice
He thinks the male and female, are too separate kind
ask the question, even if his afraid of what he'll find
I am not ashamed to tell him, what is on my mind
But I worry of the future, if he ever left me behind

Gentle Hand
Father take me by the hand
Oh please father for once leave me where I stand
With my deep footprints that tarnished the land
Let me stay in this place
Don’t make haste
I can’t take another look at your teary eyed face
Looking dead on me
Standing in front of you I meet my reflection I don’t want to see
Thick blood stains my hands as I stand under you
I want you gone but there is not much more I can do
Love so strong it counteracts me
My worth is changing and you’re forcing me to see
You wrote words of such strong meaning
I am on a teeter-totter swinging
One minute I am up with you out of the drowning wave
Next minute I am back going down into the grave
I am too young and immature to go through your change
My weary feet don’t have much range
Don’t keep dragging me along
It feels wrong
But most of the feeling is deep inside
Leave me please; this feeling I can’t describe
I take a walk among the trees
Your creation is grabbing my shoulders trying to bring me to my knees
God don’t you understand?
A long time ago I let go of your hand!...
I am a fire
Blazing through your forest that is a little tired
Erupting all sober
I am dying again all over
I am just a miserable sight
Trying to cover your light
That you ignited in me
I counted 1, 2, 3
But I am still here
Your hand is back and near
Now I try to hide myself with fear
It’s too late
I meet your teary eyes; this time it was fate
For the last time your gentle hand grabs mine
And I feel fine

Loving more to tell you the truth,
You know in your heart what you must do,
Disipline yourself to see,
The intent of your heart, because action proceeds,
Love counteracts fear, it speaks the truth,
Your heart pounds at the sound of what you should do,
It's usually never what you thought, sometimes feelings step aside,
Your heart steps up to plate, fear no longer hides,
It wages war with our feelings, fear keeps in captivity,
It won't come out into the light because in the dark it breeds,
Supressing your heart, adding one fear onto another,
So you will shut your mouth, and your heart altogether,
To make you feel less, to shut out the love,
To make you forget, you are more than enough,
The love you give is never a waste,
Even if some people don't see it that way,
Don't hold back your heart, don't shrink n hide,
God will honor the intent and open your eyes.

I am the only wine
Strong enough to make you blotto,
The only cure to your illness.
I know thou art mighty and strong
Only because I am here,
For you. With you.
And only I, could be the reason
You are weak, again.
Only I could make you whole
Even when I am the reason
You need to be complete.
I made you a fool,
But i am the only reason
You are seen as sane.
I am your foolery, your wisdom
I am the one behind your breathing
That counteracts rhythm.
I am the only beauty
That can get you uglily insane.
Into my eyes you look
To be whole again.
But here I am; the only reason
You ever needed healing.

[Prologue: in both a secular and spiritual sense we are all lost one way or another at one time or another. The need to escape or at least lessen the pain this brings can be 'self-medicated' with drink or drugs or materialism or even egotism-- the sense that one is better, smarter, prettier than others. History shows when a people or a country is lost, it can result in war, either civil or external. For myself, I have found healing by turning to a Power far greater than myself, far, far greater than anyone could possibly conceive.]
POEM FOR A LOST SOUL
Now I understand--
I can never be complete
within myself: without You,
my emotions betray me,
my mind counteracts itself.
Hope will flee me,
despair will eat me
unless I reach for...
with a child's open arms.

Giving God all the credit is the first step,
To faith and sight beyond ourselves,
We appreciate and are thankful for what people do,
But we ultimately can see it is God working through,
We value and love others who he's placed in our lives,
And it is in this perspective God changes our sight,
We don't pretend that evil does not exist,
But his love counteracts evils agenda through this,
With patience, and endurance, through long suffering, in it all,
We trust in his love through all circumstances because...
We believe in him, and the love he died for,
We can see past the struggle, we trust his love more.

Light Verse
infront of the mirror i see a man tangled in his own stupidity
a man who's mind lacks necessities in developing stabilty
confused, he blankly gazes for days on end
waiting for a sign to prove that he's not dead
after a lengthy period of reflection and solitude
he becomes aware of the cracks he's falling through
he measures the depth of every step he fell down
the realization strikes him.. his path is hell bound
he prays, meditates, begs and cries for guidance
but is only greeted with the painful eyes of silence
with nowhere to go he is forgotten by time
in a never ending labrynth, lost in his mind
how could he let himself slip to this devistation?
he ignored the vapors of his life and now he smells the frargence
it isn't pleasant.. it's bitter and putrid
with a new sense of wisdom he attempts to remove it
unfortunatelly, his past counteracts his present
and he sobs from below peering at the gates of heaven

She stood facing given destiny
Tall, dark, handsome, hopelessly smiling
The provderbial woman's anxiety
Of reality annexed in childlike dreaming
Her friends spoke resolutely
But she in denial made void the glance
While her heart beat passionately
And her head drunken in silence dance
Love should not be offered
For what is given counteracts our pride
Alone, Christ was delivered
Because a true lover gave till we chide
It will not spoil my joy if you
Refuse the gift, I will do it again gladly
Only so disappointed in you
I give for my own joy, nothing alters me.
So she went home feeling shy
Because they asked her, rather than they gave
But heart played drums on the sky
And longing rose and rave in wave upon wave.
The moment is gone though, and I
Read her story, and will not from love relent
Yes, there is no limit to the sky
And no sorrow when I am like my sentiment.
Given pride, love must given directly
Not offered, not fearful of rejection hesitate
For true love has no fear, nor tardily
Gives itself to the joy of love's bitter fate.

A fictional facility created in mother’s memory
by Amadeus Arkham in an island off Gotham city coast,
Arkham Hospital is a unique asylum
for the criminally insane supervillains.
The asylum has a long and vicious history,
a part of which is dominated by Batman,
the comic book superhero at the top of physical ability,
having an agile expertise in various forms of martial arts.
He faces several mentally sick desperado inmates,
like enraged Bane and serial killer Victor, and finds
way out of hallucinating nightmares created by Scarecrow,
counteracts the nefarious designs of the formidable foes.
A fictitious leading institution for psychiatric research,
the asylum has special cells like the extreme isolation,
that accommodates a wide variety of insane evil patients,
whose wicked plots are dexterously wrecked by Batman.

I've seen the eyes of your logic, I've felt the depth of your pain,
My heart swells from anger to compassion, this is why you treat others this way,
When holding your hand in silence is all there is left to be said,
Because words have turned you upside down, and only actions will heal instead,
My eyes will speak love unconditionally, for your not abusing me,
The only one your hurting is you unfortunately,
Self sabotage, feeling of defeat, I will pour love past the pain,
And when I do, God will replenish, and fill my cup and renew my strength,
I don't not live on mans acceptance, I live for the love of God's truth,
With everything I encounter on this earth, my God has the power to consume,
When the enemy attacks my soul, my spirit will jump to attention,
For when I must experience the madness of this life, my God always counteracts those intentions,

counteracts efforts
made at trying to
create inner balance
between differing
perspectives
on a quest to try
and somehow find
a means of compensating
for the opposing forces
acting against all hope
for a better relationship
in a future time and place
between the future versions
of our selves
