Best Corbett Poems
Let me start by saying looks can be deceiving
By the person that’s receiving
And transmitting the image to the brain to create a perfect picture
Judging before you look
Failing to see pass the skin deep within
Where her beauty lies therein
You not willing to go on a journey and discover the unwritten
Memories left behind in a safe
And you’re the combination to her heart
The flame before its start
The light before the dark
Emotions wrapped in life
Calling it immortal love from above
Your heart now complete
But you face defeat
Because you judged before you look
Deep in guilt for the wrong road you took
And that moment made you realize
That your decision was reversible
And karma says your next.

Alas, Abe Lincoln was fatally shot forsooth,
By that nefarious cad John Wilkes Booth!
Booth was shot by Sergeant Boston Corbett,
Sending him on his well-deserved eternal orbit!

I want to complete you spiritually, mentally, and physically
I want to give you symmetrical Love
I want speak our languages and be bilingual
You are always on my mind like a number 1 single
We deep like physics going way pass infinity
We scientific bonding like covalent are you feeling me
I want to be with you forever and rise like the sun when you wake up
I want to be your hands when you pray up
We got a flame so strong even in the rain we stay lit up
You are my three leaf clover give me good luck
Our love hard to find like a needle in the haystack
Your music to my eyes like a photographic sound track
Your love like cancer consuming me whole
We got that balance on the scale weighing deep in the soul
Take a look inside the mirror tell me what do you see
I see the essences of an angel and the ora of a goddess
No other beauty real its make believe like the loch ness
Aiyana ,Aiyana my blossoming flower
I will love you until my last hour and even after death I can feel your
Vibe you control the ocean to my heart like the moon an the tide

It’s my Love reverse
Can you see reverse
You can’t see our vision
Can you see my mission trap in an intermission
I can’t release my feelings that’s trap in a dungeon of Unforbidden Love
You can’t see my soul
In the summer its cold in the winter it’s hot
The rain goes up and the Trees grows down
My lips move father to kiss you
My eyes close shut just to see you
My beginnings at the end and my end becomes my present
My sun shines at night and it’s fluorescent
My moon rises in the morning watch me rotate
My feelings is on an axis of Love from above
Its my Love Reverse
Her beauty's rare,wild yet free
and in me she seems to see it in the same I agree
She inspects my stlye, intercepts my smile
Eyes meet like the sun and the moon causing eclipse
And with those eyes, she watched my Mode, seeing melodys of music flashing love upload
She caresses my tunes, but only in her brain where she keeps important moments in her
main data frame
I feel Love equal, I respect her desire, feeling her notes in my wires
seeing the flame being the fire I feel Love equal
Her connection was strong I was Love virus
So she deleted mcAFEE and let my love enter
Machine Love rebooted up....Hit Ent.

I want to be free, cries deep with in my soul
The world so cold
I see no equality
Why do labels consume you, and
Hate is your friend as you as you grasp it
And it grooms you
Hispanic, Asian, cacajun and the black people
They should be equal
And be known as just people
Behold man kind just watch what he can do
He can separate, desecrate, discriminating on any race
He can look into the eyes of any face
And erase
I see no equality
Its bothers me
The worlds at end
Just wait until the father see

I am black flame releasing fire from my vocal cords
I hold death on the tip of my tongue
Yes I’m young
But my wisdom decipher these hieroglyphics of life
I change history with every breath given
So my life is self written by my god living
I show pain in my name because I’m criticized by many
But my mental is far more superior than plenty I’m not a follower it’s more of the
opposite
Melodic notes that I rain they contain
Knowledge for humanity
I anchor my feelings in the oceans of emotions
Watch the deepest of the motions
As I turn the page of destiny
While my music standing next to me
Watch me paint a picture with graffiti from the pen
With my poetry within
I am Black Flame

It’s true I acknowledge you for being unique
Even words can’t describe the magnitude of your physique
I not only want to get to know you
I want to unlock the mysteries that lye inside your heart
I want to be your sudden spark
I am drawn to you like a bee to a flower
For your love I would climb to the highest of the towers
You leave God mind boggled thoughtless without speech
Your inspiration to my world, only have you stopped to see
If I whispered Love to heaven
Would you be the one for me
Are we really meant to be that’s the question of the day
If I challenge you for Love would you dare to look my way
Should you start liking me that’s a question you must answer
Ill be waiting on a cloud hoping to receive your answer
Much Love

We spoke the history of Flankers under the roof
Of your old school
And I, O I went interviewing for the proof
I have that little book lost somewhere
But in my heart I read it still
The little brown church upon the hill
The iron caterpillars clawing into stone
The thrill of the poor man to capture and own
An heritage where ancestors blood was spilled.
King, the first boy born there lost his life fishing
Beside his father in the airport bog, we
Wept for them three weeks and more, singing
And making light to ease the heavy hearts of loss
Brownie, the first man to settle after years there
On the estate smelling the wine of sugar
Roasting in the sun. I saw your son
In New York and was not intimidate of his skills
In maths again, he was just a another statistics
Like myself, and our hearts were cistern broken
Before our birth.
The first girl born there is now an officer of the law
O could we run those days again
Crazy in the childhood of our dream
The choir of birds in fruiting trees
The endless complain of working bees ...
O their nectar made all sorrows sweet
The evening in the sand bed
Pretending we were Quarrie or Bolt today
And the stars older than us
Longing for us to return their dust.
I wrote the history of that place ... the Easter Rebellion
Kenyatta, Desmond, Cyril, Jiggs, Dragon
And King Baz ... O that was a brilliant son. Corbett
Only walk and complain about dead politics now
But there was another time, we were young
And the sun was our liquid gold to dream
They came with the constabularies and machines
That tore rocks and buildings up
But could not spill us from our cup
We drank it all.
Today across the globe we are gone
None return to die
Where they began
And so lonely now the forest obsolete
The dried out swamp
The tourist that will not see again the lamp
Of Bredda, Nunsa and I
Catching crabs ... I left a tree my kite to fly
An old tree that entangled me ...
The history that began me before I finished it.
It was brief and short sad moment of time
That still flashes and rings in the painful memory of the country
Enjoying and his wife Mary Todd the play 'Our American Cousin'
In the midst of the laughter and roar of the audience
A southerner John Wilkes Booth full of anger, rancor and revenge
He entered the Lincoln's lounge hitting the president by a bullet
It was fatal and landed in the back of Lincoln's head
The assassin jumped from the balcony and injured his leg
Outside the theater he fled on a horse heading to the south
Two weeks later he met his end
A single bullet of Sergeant Boston Corbett hitting him in the head
Trapped in a burning barn of a Virginia farm laid dead
The assassination of Abraham Lincoln opened a new wound
to a nation whose wounds did not heal yet from long civil war
The irony Abraham Lincoln death was at the peak of his triumph
A long thought victory after many years of bruising civil war
A nation united again and looking for the future
Ending centuries of slavery and humiliation of blacks in chains
A promise to bringing dignity and honor for all mankind races
Opening the long road for full equality and Justice
A holy struggle for all to live in peace and harmony
For all who share the land of America and call it their home
I do want to Love you
I just have to have a chance
As Love is to infinite
So is your hand to my hand
Aiyana Patricia Hayes
You’re the beauty of many days
I can say it in many ways
And in my heart it always stays
Are you willing to open up
And let me inside you
The invitation to my heart and it’s inside you
Much Love
Richard Q. Corbett
If we were in love do you think time would pass us by
Freezing a sea of emotions in the sky
If we kissed would you see the deepest darkest corners of my soul
With your eyes slowly captivating pulling me inside of your being like a black hole
If I made a wish to the brightest star
Would you understand my heart
Provide my spark
Would you feel me
Would you rain your beauty like rain drops
Tenderly evaporating the void ness in my heart
If we were in love would your smile shine brighter than the sun itself
Helping to finds oneself
You have beauty that even the angels adore
Even God signals heaven screaming for an Encore
Right now our love is just an If
This poem never begun if our love was just a myth
-Much Love-

Your inspiration to mind
I’m in the presence of divine
Like I’m intertwined in your spirit
My poetry in motion, because your beauty got me energized
My pen writing on the pages like its magnetized
Amazing yet delicate, beauty so elegant
The rays of your sunshine got my soul burning bright
And the candle that I light with delight
I feel passion flowing through my veins
And compassion flowing in my brain
So, I guess I’m occupied by a goddess and exquisite loveliness
And I loving this
I see that you are intelligent, ambitious, and fierce
Cupid shot the arrow hit the target and I’m pierce
Your image sitting on the tip of my brain and I’m complexed
What’s next?
The feelings that I fought are leaking from a bottle
I disperse full throttle and my heart I’m going to follow
The sun setting on rose pedals, like green meadows
But you beauty better no matter what the weather
-Much Love-

There is no more time left to express
My inner self
With my feelings
Buried deep in the pit of love no longer being able to hear you
Touch you
Kiss you
Hold you
Now I see you from a different point of view
More than ever now that you’re gone
As I sit hear empty like this bottle lying next to me
Can any one hear my cry as I die silently within self?
These tears of sorrow flow like the river through the deepest of the valleys
My soul no longer happy
I can’t sleep at the sounds of the rain drops
Rolling down my windowpane
As I sit staring out realizing that I’m on the edge of the cliff
With no hope and no grip
But I’m saved by your lips
I have so many questions
As the sun setting on the results
And time passes us both by
Destiny reveals that there is no more time left
I’ve been changing channels on my TV of life in search of our love
But I can’t see the unseen seasons always changing and the path can be
misleading
You’re drifting and I can hear you breathing
The silence is misleading
You left without a reason
A mystery in your position
A prisoner of your own past
or was it me fueling and igniting the flames
but all words burn the same
Hope you dont forget my name
-Much Love-

I saw the shattered face of a man once
his world before me died in his eyes
the incumbent fires were so dim
forgotten in the eyes of pleasure
That mattered more to him than everything
no woman, no fights, arm wrestling
nothing of such masculine victory
another pill for the fallen king
Arms, blood, muscle, hair, and skin
death to youth, death in silence
the pain crawled away and left him there
drowning in the eyes of his offspring
Grandfather, your bloody nose is red
i have seem your stories and love
faces and times are all his age has left
love is the only thing to coddle from an estranged man
Forget this the night when the world is cold
leave mother’s heart to the worms
pray you this what God hath foreseen
Grandfather, your tufted sod will be remembered
