"The Flood Contained Electric"
walls of glass
sheathe this heart
a conservatory
for the lacking
of menagerie
the walls aren’t
bricked up
comme dans une
la orangerie
clearly seen
straight through
X-ray vision
dancing dervish
until the clouds
roll in and the
pea soup fog
mists over the view
jade is the colour
caught courting within
the flinting prisms
seen in the eyes
of jaded others
the storm's coming
warns Elektra
standing outside
the shattering
evaluation
rain like hands
clapping
hail like pebbles
thrown by the good
heavens above
turn Pollock
tomatoes crushed
hard thrown
the bleed painted
as water colour fades
pink and naked
cantoring in the mind
then, racing west
unbridled like
a white wedding
splayed onto the page
the bride stripped bare
surrenders
bricked in
l'orangerie
the flood
contained,
Elektra
turns away
(LadyLabyrinth / 2023)

"Within the Contained Behemoth"
we think we travel
strange universes
in our planetary
reconnaissance devices,
transporting initial
contact communication
for exporting
potential new lives
for resettlement,
perhaps we are the
internal world
of God,
we are
the good
and the bad
of an otherwise
invisible being,
a central life source
we cannot see for dreaming,
because
we are
part
of the internal sum
immersed
in the body
of something much larger
and we,
we are like
nerve cells, along which
impulses received
from other cells at synapses
connecting, are transmitting
to the larger bronchi,
travelling through
the trachea we
give breath and voice
to lungs that appear
like a galaxy,
perhaps we are just
crystalline allergens
we are antigens
and dust particles
debris to be
removed with
antibodies to keep
the larger life
genetically
alive.
perhaps the code
not in us, but we,
the code within
the larger, are the
internal messengers,
contracted
like a virus,
eternally mined
within the
contained Behemoth,
conscious of its time,
it is, sustainably recycling

Contained Thinkers
Media instruction
Teaching us morals
Unfolding our ethics
What to wear
What to eat
Leading us around like faceless meat
Showing us what’s right and wrong
What’s beauty define ugliness
How to be
These are lies you see
Locking us in our cage
We will run and buy your lies
Take advantage of us
Until we die
We were born
To understand slavery
We accept
A life without freedom
Where are the philosophers
Where have they gone?
We will not grow
We will not progress
If free thinkers
Philosopher’s minds
Are all locked up
Blinded by the American Dream
Promises of hope and change
We do not challenge
We do not try
Comfortable within their lies

Free verse
Stuck inside this tiny old box
I can hardly breathe
Its been years since I tasted freedom
I'm living but haven't lived
Days go by with no one noticing me in my box
I exist not even knowing that this is unorthodox

The Word contained, inside the head
Available until we're old
Cherished within the heart as gold
Will bring us to heaven instead
Where those streets of gold are outspread
There Jesus, our Savior, Stronghold
The Word contained
With open arms, and side that bled
Draws into His embrace the soul
That holds the Word within their mould
Deep in their being, love imbed
The Word contained
New Living Bible
John 1: 1-5
1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it

A Love That Can’t Be Contained…
What God’s done for me…
Is hard to explain it.
When it comes to his love…
I can’t “contain it!”
The love he brings…
The joy untold…
Is very precious.
And worth more than gold!
Without him in my life…
What would I do?
He brings new meaning to the words;
“I LOVE YOU!”
Just to know him and the beauty
there is in his name…
He brings comfort and joy.
This is why he came…
Won’t you accept his gift
of eternal life today?
And allow his presence
to brighten your day?
A relationship with him
is his divine will…
To the storms of life…
He speaks; “peace be still!”
Allow him to make your life
complete within…
And you’ll find the atonement
for every sin!
He is God. Your provider …
And so much more!
He’s here right now.
What are you waiting for???

Like her, I thought
fear would disappear
when I wrote-
Scraps of life
sparked alight,
Bright red flight,
pretty prayer papers
heat lifted high
in secret night.
Knowing no doubt
they would deal living death
more frightful
than buried thoughts...
My mind thinks in poems
already burnt,
drifting ash- faced grey
mortal whisps-
brought down to earth.
Fear's urn awaits...

Beauty contained radiates quietly
Elegant like Wisteria neatly pruned
On a trelllis with blooms weeping lightly
Grace and beauty sending a merry tune
Beauty running wild up and down the streets
Is like Wisteria running through tall pine trees
Pretty for a very short time one of spring's facets
Someday will die from lack of root strength disease
Tulips with their rainbow of spring colors
Sit still in place letting their beauty glow
Contained bless landscapes with multicolor
Not running here_there still put on a show

either look or see
what you will become and be
sure you will agree
We are definitely the product
of our environment. Maybe that
is why DC is so miserable.
will sew what they breed
so should plant the proper seed
separate from weed
arrived at third floor
thanked God that there are no more
my feet sure are sore
Tell tale signs of a Brother Rat
rat friend had been a brother
was always like no other
still lousy lover

Haiku
You could be the bits of straw and me the bird that needs you to nest
You could be my greatest triumph or my most challenging test
You could be that one breath that i desperately need to survive
You could be the only touch that my soul needs to come back alive
You could be the greatest lover and best friend a girl could claim
You could be the worst mistake and never even have a name
You could be the one fear that prevents a caterpillar growing into her true form
You could be the one weakness in an unfinished house causing it to blow away in a storm.
You could be like the first kiss of the sun after the drenching rain
What you can never be is a container of something not meant to contain.

The world is my mentor,
eternity my judge
Each choice confirmation,
the ‘future’ ungloved
Time no longer master,
to deceive or profane
All life in this moment,
—its meaning contained

Parson Whose Sermon Cotained Arson
Should have heard sermon from the parson;
Would be hot and set you on fire like arson;
Could make you laugh as if Johnny Carson.

Barrage in a Message Contained in A Decoupage
We had been bombarded by a big barrage',
Seemed so bad that we needed a message',
Saw quirk,
In art work;
Did dispose along with a delicate decoupage'.

Defying death..
Defying death
Trying my fate
How much it would take
For my dreams’ sake?
Must I to know
Or can I let go
Can my curiosity be contained
Or the furiosity be mundane?
Was it me all alone
Or was it with someone I had known
Had I only gone
Or the others had been prone
Defying death
Trying my fate..
