Best Constraint Poems
My life is a maze from which I cannot escape
Walls are closing in by the centimeter
I have turned into a mime, trapped within myself
No advice will serfice for the unexpected leader
Multiple attempts to climb out of this hell hole
Quick glances from left to right
Nothing to grab onto to
Assumptions of staying stagnate through the night
No longer will I know the feeling of happiness
Life is now a shell of its former self
Darkness has flooded my brain cells
Long arms with the reach of a mythical elf
i stand
alone
trying to
walk away
from what
is known
and in the
midst
of my walk
away
i step past
the fine line
that once
shone
so i walk
away
from constraint
with light eyes
that look
into the
unknown
I walk a rope that hangs in air,
It moves with rules I do not see.
Each step I take feels watched, not free,
And I forget who I used to be.
The rope is soft yet too tight and pulls me back,
Like Kind Hands hiding quiet chains.
It bends around but doesn’t break,
And leads me through the same old lanes.
I feel the pull from sides unknown,
Not just by you, or even me.
Some hands I never see or name
Still change the shape beneath my feet.
I walk like water in a glass,
Shaking with fear I cannot speak.
If I fall, is that called freedom?
Or just another circle made?
The rope still turns but never ends,
And still I walk though truth is blurred.
Still I walk, though the knot is hidden,
And the wind keeps shaking, blurring what I see.
Do you love God?
Do you feel like you need to
Go a church in order to worship Him?
God does not want you to go to church
To worship Him
He wants you to worship Him right there and then
He does not want religion
Tradition, restriction
He wants you to be free
From any constriction
He wants your love
And a relationship with you
He cares for you
And does not want to strap you
Tie you down to a post
You can be free and be whatever with Him
And He will see you for who you are
Not what you appear or act like at the time
He wants you to say whatever that is on your mind
To Him
And not feel like you have to fix it
The right way
So He would hear it
You don’t have to wait until you are perfect
To come to Him
You can come to Him right now
In your glory days
In your downtrodden days
In your doom days
He does not want you to fix you
He will do that
That is no one’s job but His
Do you think you are too messed up
To come to Him?
You think He’d rather see a perfect you
Or a torn broken one in need?
Do you see Him for who He is
God
The One who is
And was everything?
He is your tomorrow
He is your yesterday
And He is your today
You can’t live without Him
He is your life
The first breath you take
And all after are from Him
He gives you what you need
He creates in you an image of Him
The one that you think
When you think of God
That is Him
So when you think of Him
Be sure to say hello
God is not going to bite you
Chase you down with a stick
And knock you senseless
Though you need some sense
Put into you
Lol
He who is so proud
That thinks he is above help
Will surely fail
And He is too humble
That thinks he is beyond help
Will surely get a lesson
No one is above help
Beyond help
Take care of yourself
And let God take care of you
Talk to Him, will you?
Constraint
kite
attends height
With a dream delight.
To taste the virtue of emancification,
To gracefully enjoy the bliss of eternal celebration.
To enchant the saga of the supernal plan of plight,
Alas! the earthy string holds her back tight.
To end her fantasies,
With vigorous
Constraint.

The sky outside is bright and clear,
Yet my heart is shrouded with tears.
Sunlight bathes the distant houses,
While smog blankets my soul.
I should cherish such rare sunny days,
But I'm trapped in this small room, afraid to stray.
Looking into the mirror—I see:
Unwashed hair,
Puffy eyes,
A sallow face with a bitter smile,
And stacked high on my desk a pile of files.
All forging invisible, unbreakable shackles around my feet.
“Honey, tomorrow is Allen’s baseball competition. Please, he needs you to be there. You know how hard he’s been practising for it. He'll be so excited to have you around.”
“Oh! Honey, if only time would be for sale. I'd buy it for a reasonable price. I have a backlog of work to do. I'm hunting for balance.”
“Oh! Dear. The kids need you as much as they need me. You have to create time for them. Find a space for them. You remember how distraught Karen was when you didn’t make it for her ballet competition.”
“Oh! Lauren, all I'm doing is for the family. Very soon I'll be on my own then we can go for a vacation anywhere in the world.”
“Oh! Honey. Please.”
“Ok. I'll be there. I'll postpone all my engagements for tomorrow.”
“Oh! Thank you, dear. Allen will be overjoyed.”
