Concave Reasoning

he seemed a bit demented
then again, his head was dented

yet he tried his best – and meant it
once they got his head cemented

some said he was tormented
his thoughts too long fermented

inside a head once dented
yet only recently cemented

he seemed to be contented
in a world disoriented

and he never quite repented
for the thoughts he only rented

so that he could present it
mental cash – he quickly spent it

on reasoning augmented
with logic yet unscented

so his teachers all lamented
these theories he invented

after all – his head was dented
only recently cemented

Concave Love

Straight, as the crow flies
your love crashed into my heart
I am in deep sea

Wind howls
And storms lay siege
Beyond my reach

Wednesday will surely come
Preparations dissolve fear
Rooted in the aftermath

A Cracked Lens Concave

In this drunken thirst
A salivating dry throat
A hungry gorge
Of controllable rage
A subtle outburst
Sleeping pills in a fist
An empty mind feasts
Resting on deep sleep
Escapism it seeks
Lonely noise it speaks
In crowds of genotypes
Impossible to find his type
In this still dance
A wasted chance
Music to deaf ears
Melody to numb fears
A tissue to dry tears
Glasses to empty eyes
In this drunken fest
A sober state
Break cable cut
Driven in a straight line
In the opposite lane
How long do we have?
A cracked lens concave

Concave, Convex

Humanity
is vapid
so even if
I was fat
or even if
I had the
body of an
hourglass
other women
on the Internet
would still
find many
shallow reasons
to loudly
judge me
for how
I look
even though
I am often
kind to them,
and that
is why their
praises always
feel hollow.
