Best Christmastime Poems
Holiday Acrostic
Holiday joy, may it always remain to be yours!
Old-fashioned, fun-loving, cuddly, sleigh-ride tours.
Lots of hot apple cider, in mugs filled with happiness to drink!
It's the most holy birthday of The Christ Child!
Do attend Church, do be meek and mild.
Anticipate, family and dearest friends, at your door.
Yuletide greetings, be yours~Christmas is just around the bend!

Almost, Christmastime
I am unwrapping my gift.
Unwrapping [his love] he left in a Christmas stocking with
My name (Ayesha) on it.
Seeing my baby boy for the first time.
I love just hearing my newborn son cry, scream and I love his baby babble.
He is adorable.
As a new mom I get excited I finally have my 1st baby.
Believe me I have goosebumps as I write this poem.
Days after he is born I decide to get 20 Birth Announcements made and to
send them to family and to all my girlfriends.
I sit up in the bed in my private hospital room and I look into my baby boy’s eyes.
I adore his dark cocoa skin that resembles my own and his papa’s.
I vow I will teach him to love himself so he can love the way God made him.
As I look at my newborn son’s face I see a tiny miracle.
He is mine.
Where I come from
It’s dark and quiet
Eleven months of the year
Then one fine day
Everything changes
All of a sudden
It’s bright and snowing
And I come to life
After a long hibernation
I love to see my old friend
Elf sitting on the shelf
Right next to a lit-up tree
He never says much
I don’t even know if he has a name
He just wears his big silly grin
Probably happy to see me
I have another friend
A human boy who
Comes to visit me
Funny thing…
Every single time
There’s a series of
Sudden snowstorms
He brings his eyeball
Really close to me
Scares me a little
But I don’t let on
I grin and bear it
I just stay very quiet
Then he moves on
Soon enough the time rolls
Around again for hibernation
I can always tell it’s coming
It’s shortly after mad chaos
The house at full capacity
There’s music and a huge feast
Followed by calling out names
And giving of glittery boxes
Shouts of joy by young and old
Singing dancing till all hours
I get so tired just watching them
That I’m ready for a good long sleep
Until next December rolls around

Christmas is a time of sharing,
A time to heal the wounds
A time to forgive our enemies,
And a time for a new beginning.
Christmas is when the whole world
Celebrates the birth of our Lord.
This is a time when we find true hapiness
In our hearts, minds and souls.
Christmas is always a special holiday
For every Christian in any parts of the world.
It's the time to give thanks in God Almighty
For the blessings that we've had received.
It's a time of joy,
A time for everyone to enjoy,
A time to rejoice God's presence
In most difficult situations of our life.
Christmas cookies, snow spinning
fire flicker, cat cuddles
music mellow, Bach backdrop
divine dazzle, tree lights lit
coffee cooling, popcorn pops
dreams dance, past scenes sigh
Merry Christmas to my friends

Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin, float on the air to my waiting nose.
Sounds of paper tearing while laughter echoes throughout each room, inundating my senses with Christmas thrills; a dinner, succulent and sweet revives old memories.
Kids at Christmastime beam their light through golden smiles; Santa’s annual visit emboldens the joyous morning; in the family room lay the one mess, that is allowed each year.
"Christmas is a season of
not only rejoicing but of reflection. "
Quote by _ Winston Churchill
I unwrap the Christmas decorations,
stored in tattered boxes for years;
such old, delicate, fragile creations,
and I am soon weeping sad tears,
for I can hear the ghostly whispers !
Some have been passed down and down,
and now they all belong to me;
I see my great-gran shopping downtown,
where the snowflakes fall feathery,
as I place balls on my Christmas tree !
Yesteryear Christmas's joyful and sad,
I still feel all those gone above;
and knew that Santa was really my dad,
such great childhood wonder and love,
and outside is a chirping white dove !
Later, friends are coming over for some cheer,
do you wish pie, sugar cookie or a tart;
will serve coffee, tea, wine and beer,
Christmastime will always be in my heart,
and my memories will never depart !

Christmastime
A time for pleasure
Friends to see and
presents to treasure.
Keeping with our great tradition
we are gathered here.
Singing only great renditions
of holiday songs so dear.
Happy, smiling, laughing faces
keeping things in the theme
Boxes, bows, wrapping, traces
of things you’d never dream.
I try so hard to keep the peace
just to make it through
smiling, turning out of place
hoping to avoid the truth.
You never really cared for me
even though I gave you my best
I simply, basically cannot see
why you treat me different than the rest.
Everything you were looking for
everything you ever wanted
was given to you no questions, no more
despite your constant taunting.
Why do you see me as a threat?
Why can’t you envision the family tree
put up in love, lights aglow like that
please tell me – why do you hate me?
Christmastime
Green evergreen trees - candles aglow
Family and friends - wreaths with red bows
Cookies and caroling - sugarplum dreaming
A babe in a manger - a star brightly beaming

Christmas came just once a year until you came my way.
Now Christmas lasts the whole year through -- not just a single day.
A special gift of Christmas we share each passing day.
I hold you every morning since Christmas came to stay.
Christmastime forever finds you in my arms.
and, Christmastime forever means love, so soft and warm.
Yes, each day seems like Christmas since you gave you love to me --
and every day's a holiday shared by you and me.
Christmas still brings laughter. Christmas still brings joy
and sparkle to the smiling eyes of little girls and boys.
But, a special gift of Christmas is mine each day, you see --
Christmas lasts forever since you gave your love to me.
Inspired by our loved ones who are far away... Especially during the festive season.
We can enjoy this Christmastime

I'm seeing Christmas dazzles
Everywhere I go
I'm feeling the chill of winter weather
Maybe it's going to snow
But, I don't feel like celebrating
It just doesn't feel the same without you
When we're apart for the holidays
I'm feeling lonely and a bit blue
All those sparkly decorations
All those Christmas lights
They seem to contradict my heart
They won't give up without a fight
So, how about you come home to me
Baby, I miss you so
It's time for us to celebrate
Be happy with the Christmas glow
So, how about you come home for good
And never ever leave my side
I want to celebrate the holidays with you
We can enjoy this Christmastime
I'm seeing Christmas adverts
Every time I watch a screen
They're selling everything but Jesus
They're trying to push the Christmas feeling
But, I don't feel like celebrating
Not unless you're here with me
I love and miss you all the time
I miss our special gifts and treats
All those Christmas carols and jingles
Start to irritate me on my own
I start to feel like I'm a Grinch
It's time to get happy and hopeful
So, how about you come home to me
Baby, I miss you so
It's time for us to celebrate
Be happy with the Christmas glow
So, how about you come home for good
And never ever leave my side
I want to celebrate the holidays with you
We can enjoy this Christmastime
Oh-oh-oh...
So, how about you come home to me
Baby, I miss you so
It's time for us to celebrate
Be happy with the Christmas glow
So, how about you come home for good
And never ever leave my side
I want to celebrate the holidays with you
We can enjoy this Christmastime

Comes to mind it seems to me
no one young or old
should be left behind
alone out in the cold
on their own at Christmas
the time of year
for friends family bar none
loved ones and good cheer
but altho' I tend to look
indomitable
as there's no room at the inn
will someone give a hand
melt my heart and take me in
please don't laugh
I'm not all that
abominable
just doing the best I can
in my woolly hat and scarf
as an adorable if frozen snowman
