Spawn of the arcane, glutted, she sprawls upon the sands
of mythos. As victims, star-crossed lovers, outcasts,
we have all seen the traces of these nether lands.
Sphinx-like, besotted, she lays among the bodies dashed.

A pixie smith has cast her silver chains, retained her
inside this mystic plane, stained her hide vintage rose.
Among the cards on the table, it is plain; she purrs.
Do you know what she knows; guess, a riddle she poses.

Protection sought from life's trials is at her command.
But, few coupled or single have journey past her grasp.
Unknown, to the unschooled, their senses unused, banned,
Christendom, the sacred fecund grail has miscast.

From Hatshepsut's visage, bound to Sekhmet she's sworn
beware, beware The Chariot's card once it is drawn.

born under the sea, an irresistible force
two bodies reluctantly embrace, shunting, shifting, tectonic drifting
  alongside the southern Iapetus Ocean
equatorial deep-time child of Laurentia and Avalonia
  journey northward, surfacing, submerging
surfing the waves again, a colder Hibernian dalliance
  precariously perched on Eurasian plate
old bedrock confused, youthful erosion above the ancient order

darkness entombed around channelled winter light
early New Grange civilisation, the Boyne valley before the blood
  river mouth vikings, raiding, assimilating
birth of the coming capital, eastern stronghold, Baile Atha Cliath
  chain-mail Norman conquerors castle-building
appointing pious supplicants with sword, cloth, crook and cross
  wholly unholy alliances unravel
rival hierarchies sharing ill-gotten earthly reward from overseas

  saintliness, brutality, men and women
expanding Christendom, pagan kingdoms adjusting to defeat
  Patrick, Brigid, Columba, Columbanus
Irish civilising roman catholic conduits, Dalriata to Lindisfarne
outreaching, a strand of Irish character
yet to encounter future revisionary metaphysical thought
  protestant rebellion, mainland overspill
praying elites competing, preying on the island's god-fearing people

  avian watchers on Skellig pinnacles
warm ocean currents well-up, catching the southwestern gale
enduring the ill-will of nature and man
supplanting, subjugating, saving souls, the power of might and fear
treachery within or well beyond the pale
fair and dark hair, ginger genetics existing on the edge of life
tossed thin people hanging on, many leaving
scraping blighted ground, returning to the sea, promise of the unknown

Your Spirit Lives

Oh, Notre Dame, sad days have come-
that beast of fire's swift momentum,
brought down your sacred decorum-
but not your heart of Christendom.

Fire does not care- treasure or not,
its blaze destroys- no why or what.
Though you collapsed to ashes, hot-
your soul is not destroyed, forgot.

For, from the fire, God saved your Cross
that shines so brightly midst your loss,
with hope that through this sad chaos,
   you'll rise above your albatross.

Oh, Notre Dame, your soul- still bright,
and with saved artifacts, gives might
to house once more your sacred rite-
rebuild again to spread God's light.

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO BEARS US ON EAGLES’ WINGS

January 24 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Exodus 19-21

Key Verse – Exodus 19:3-4 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

FAITH IN GOD WHO BEARS US ON EAGLES’ WINGS

God bears us on eagles’ wings by His loving compassion
Extra-special are we around His eternal salvation
Excellent is His power that increases our faith’s action
Exposing us to His works of perfection.

God bears us on eagles’ wings from hell-penalty’s gruesomeness
Extra-blessed are we amidst His faithfulness
Excellent is His sacrifice that grants our faith divine worthiness
Exposing us to His awesome magnificent holiness.

God bears us on eagles’ wings upon His pardoning judgment
Extra-privileged are we along His ransom of redemption-settlement
Excellent is His covenant that assures our faith of trust fulfillment
Exposing us to His standards of Scriptural measurement.

God bears us on eagles’ wings with His liberating freedom
Extra-fortunate are we to be led toward His kingdom
Excellent is His guidance that directs our faith’s walk with His wisdom
Exposing us to His great commission for functional Christendom.

God bears us on eagles’ wings along His mighty revival
Extra-benefited are we because of His promised victorious survival
Excellent is His glory that radiates in our faith’s favour and approval
Exposing us to His greatness as we await His grand arrival.

God bears us on eagles’ wings through His upholding fellowship
Extra-protected are we since we are offered His friendship
Excellent is His Word that nurtures our faith’s stewardship
Exposing us to His truths of discipleship upon servant-leadership.

God bears us on eagles’ wings toward His jubilant victory
Extra-guarded are we under His territory against evil’s fury
Excellent is His safety that secures our faith’s drive against injury
Exposing us to His ministry, especially in sharing His Gospel story.

What If We Loved and Never Fought

Our world is in constant conflict, the Islamic State seeks conquest;
every country that loves freedom must face this threat and win.

We have seen the recent carnage in Paris:
bodies covered with blood strewn
everywhere; these threats can lead to a war
that will involve many countries.

We can't delude ourselves that in all nations there always be peace;
keep a vigilant eye and spot who wants to inflict death and harm.

Will this Christmas and Hanaka be celebrated
with the same ardor of the previous years?
Don't ever lose heart: expressing your faith
will strengthen the bond between you and them.

Rome, the heart of Christendom, welcomes people of all races and creeds;
but doesn't impose conversion on others: it's the free will of loving hearts.

If peace is to prevail: a Christian,
a Jew, a Moslem and an Atheist
must live peacefully and greet
one another: how hard can it be?

Constant hatred leads to war and bloodshed: there are no winners or losers;
we all pay the prize with the loss of lives: what if we loved and never fought?

The Protestant Reformation In Verse

Challengèd courts, Christendom held in palm,
Tyranny, oppression, falsehoods contrived
On which hingèd stability and calm,
Uprooted by man’s theses ninety- five
On door are tackèd for eyes all to see.
Revealèd wisdom, from God above sent,
Reformation of courts not left to be –
Defiance heighten’d, faith in God, unspent.
Truth in hands of people brings forth reform –
Justified by faith as Word inspired saith;
Transubstantiation false, ne’er to mourn
Catholic evils overcome by faith.

All is owèd this man, held safe by One
Named Martin Luther Gods favor’d son

Engineering a Kingdom

He told the tales with likes and similes
human character dressed as grass and trees
the fragility of life just like a mist
as touched by divine spark like children kissed

He drew attention to earths everlasting beauty
and loving kindnesses as worthy over duty
painted pictures that a child's mind could see
and of the qualities that would last eternity

Those he drew were woman child and man
in parallels explained Gods everlasting plan
a future government by Gods own plan designed
choosing those who like his Son in mind

The currant rulers here described as beast
devour and make suffer great to least
he implicated leaders intentions as the cause
as having violated all of the natural laws

He pointed out the signs to tell the time
how earth and heaven his plans to realign
where peace on earth in every nation he will gain
with truth and everlasting life they will maintain

Surprise a life in heaven was not the plan for man
but he put us on the earth in a garden understand
he intends this projects finish by his Son
with those he has redeemed to be the ones "to get er done"

I must advise you those in the grave are dead
they will remain there until the Son has said
he who has the keys of death has them in mind
to resurrect upon the earth in a future time

While Christendom adopted the ideology of hell
the Teacher of the Truth in sleep of death did tell
he called his friend who was dead and in a grave
forth the example of what his future rule will pave

How can you not get it the things he plans to do
to eliminate on earth suffering and all life renew
oh Shang gri La and Paradise He plans for thee
where Man will live in Love and joy in harmony

Obama Versus Terrorism

© Ben Burton 12/18/2015

Some politicians claim that Muslims are the most abused
It isn't even close... in victim-hood it is the Jews
Obama speaks of Israel like they're the enemy
That fact can open doors to endless possibilities

Remember when he first came in and traveled overseas
Apologizing for our sins, bowed to the Saudi king
He claims that terrorists are hatched from no religious ilk
If that is so, what are those cries they make before they kill?

Most Muslims hear those whispered words the moment of their birth
They're in the dirge obama calls "the sweetest sound on earth"
If terrorists were screaming their support for Jesus Christ
Obama would be first in line to flagrantly deride

All fundamental Christendom as having played a role
He'd harp on "Christian terrorists," without the "radical"
On certain issues Barry jumps right in to take a side
But when it comes to terrorists he's always quick to chide

Talk radio, the Fox Network, and all who disagree
With the complete disaster of his foreign policy
The jayvee team called 'ISIL' grew when he ignored the fact
A breeding ground would open with our exit from Iraq

Yet even as they make their way onto these very shores
His only urgent issue is that earth is getting warm
Beware, for this man is not done, he has another year
A Congress full of traitors will help him to persevere

Obama versus terrorism never was a fight
How can a guy who's so far left expect to get things right?
Is he Christian, Muslim, faithless, none can say but he
He's still a secret despite vows of full transparency

All we can do is watch and wait and pray that we survive
Until we get our chance to put aside these stressful times
But even then, if reason does not trump the liberal view
We'll suffer more disasters at the hands of you know who

A Morning Star

Oh fallen star of Bethlehem, your established moment shines,
upon canvas of harsh intent, descendent of heavenly design?

A mighty angel’s leading light to those befallen, pleasure-bent?
Are gleaming eyes masking spites or, our demands, aspiring content?

Looking toward skies o’er Bethlehem, as prides of mortal men delight;
bearing gifts; coffered obedience, marking paths, Magi alight.

When losing sight of stellar sign, in Jerusalem they did quick inquire,
at palace great, to a king divined; hoped route, from Herod, to acquire.

II

We saw a star (when in the east) and have come to render our obeisance,
said light has left us briefly, too the wakes of our continuance.

While in the kingdom his star was seen, glancing eyes into glass orbs stared.
Expectant sighs at skies portending, bejeweled fingers into cauldrons stirred.

A caravan of mystics then gathering, consigned to cross harsh lands at night.
Postured gifts, too much appeasing, a source of imminences, expelling light.

Great Herod stirred with agitation, “Summon to me, scribes and priest,”
and they spoke to him of Bethlehem, from whence shall come a Jewish King.

Elsewhere God’s swift messenger, arrives with tidings of glad news:
Rejoice! Rejoice for the Lamb’s shepherd! Blessed are borne Jacob’s sons to truth.

That one drawing light from the light’s giver, firstborn of heaven’s womb.
He has taken breath that men be delivered, fear no more, door’s enclosing tombs.

III

One question, in cautious need; discerns plucked from common threads.
What purposed such judicious leads, as that star’s light to Jesus led?

What cause that such symbol did cease, perhaps a plan most devious shed?
To turn also eyes of Herod east, these, jealous guards of scriptures read.

Oh bright stars over Christendom, look! Your beam’s a turning compass,
your ray, as flames with many tongues, scouring Earth in hopes of bliss.

Misleading truths, mounting traditions, swallowed lies drunk from waters shallow.
The wise one is made fool again, if needs a lamp, above a Christ we can follow.

With signs, divinities are misconstrued, as such, a star; still you teach our youth?
As light into the night deludes, beware, convincing knees to bending truths.

The Torah Blessing

The Torah Blessing

“8For thus says the LORD of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.” Zach 2:8 NASB

God has blessed His people;
Calls them, “The apple of his eye.”
The Torah blessing is for those—
Their Jewish roots they don’t deny.
To receive the blessing—
Ask God to show you today,
His two important Mitzvahs,
And from those don’t ever stray.

The Torah blessing is found—
In God’s laws of love;
Not as the world interprets them,
But as given to man from above.
Since man has changed God’s laws,
And tampered with the blessing;
Failure to receive it—
Comes from God’s non-releasing.

God honours charity and kindness.
He rewards those who love him,
And seek a Sabbath blessing—
That’s where we can begin.
Be Gentiles who’ve been adopted—
Into the “apple of his eye,”
Because Christ’s our example;
His Jewish roots, we can’t deny.

Ask God to show you—
How you can be blessed today.
To receive his Torah Blessing—
Requires faith and to obey.
Let Christ be your example,
In everything you do.
Most of Christendom fails to receive the Torah Blessing—
Don’t you lose it too!

Prayer: “Father, I pray for your Torah Blessing. Show me what I must do to receive your blessing, and enable me to obey you and show your love to my fellow man. A-men”

Self Inflicted

The wounds were “self-inflicted”
unmindful of the pain
that surged within the shattered soul
a never ending rain.

The priest in sanctimonious lie
anointed, blessed, and prayed
the parish nodded knowingly
they too had been betrayed.

The charlatans of Christendom
succumbed to mourning wail
while covering for demons
who should have gone to jail.

Thus did the guilty wash their hands
lead guileless sheep to follow
the scent of incense acrid air
flickering through tallow.

Warped plywood covers tear-stained glass
the altar’s gods evicted
to suffer the never ending pain
of wounds they “self-inflicted”

Memoirs of Pope John Paul Ii

He gave me a strong impact,
with his gift for immemorial gestures;
he embraced the sick and handicapped
he kissed the soil of the nation on his first vist.

As an occupant of the Chair of St Peter,
he brought the world, a message to everyone
his defense for the poor, a substance to carry on
as a church in her journey across cultures.

The awesome volume of his writings,
reveal the kind of pope he was
as a theologian suffused with faith;
as a philosopher endowed with reason.

In his very person, he was charismatic
as a teacher and defender of faith,
he set new directions, left a legacy
and continued the Roman Curia, multicultural.

On themes expounded in his documents,
speeches, homilies and reflections,
he brought the Gospel vis-a-vis the Magisterium
in all spheres that concern contemporary life.

As the first non-Italian pope in 455 years,
since the Netherlander Hadrian VI in 1552
and ever since his election to papacy,
by any measure, he’s a man for all seasons.

Albeit, he’d his disappointments,
his own share of sorrows over clergy in misbehavior –
the scandal of sexual abuse, particularly in this nation,
he remained firm and prayerful as a leader.

In spite of his frailty, Parkinson’s disease and other ailments
he continued his journey with deep faith and sacrifice.
his interreligious relations made a difference,
he visited mosques, synagogues and convened those other leaders.

He canonized saints more than 470 of them,
he beatified more than a thousand men and women.
such a milestone in the life of our Catholicism,
the call to holiness woven in discipleship.

He impressed believers of every faith
with his greatness in many ways;
like one of his favorite phrases,
quoting what St Augustine once said,
“Vobis sum episcopus, vobiscum christianus,”
he celebrated life, helped shape Christendom
with analyses of countless human lives.

Premium Member Plaidoirie For a 'Prince' of Jaffna - Part Two

Part Two

A Prince may not bring dishonour to his kingdom
   In times of strive for the sake of Christendom;
If he seeks spurious honours to feather his nest
And alienates a people who die for freedom.

A King is he who in high danger opts for sacrifice
Like Kattabomman seeking no excuse nor artifice
Met the East India Company’s Collector all alone
And fought his valiant way through gunfire malice.

The history of Tamil kingdoms in all ages gone by
Teaches us the same lesson made proverbial by
An Ettappan who in his insatiable envy of grandeur
Caused the ultimate Tamil Prince to hang high.

We live in a world where politicians are the real Princes
   Who wear no crowns but their ministerial pince-nez;
Yet other captains struggle against such fait accompli
And in jungles forge a human bulwark of chances.

It’s not the cherry on the icing that makes a cake
If underneath the slender icing over a lake
Wild worms bore at the crust raised in protection,
Won’t people then take a Kshastriya for a fake.

If you want to be king then let your voice be true
   Renounce all wish to be ordained a true blue;
Let the people choose what they want for a crown
If they need you, will they not call upon you.

Uneasy the head which wears the realm’s crown
   While the people fret and fume and frown;
See how caretaker John usurps the Lion-Heart’s throne:
Uneasier the head become the butt of a clown.

Lay aside all thought of fame
   In the quest for a feudal name;
He who assumes an ancient title
Must prove worthy of the same.

A Mandrake's Gesture: Vol Ii.

The maiden's nipples
swollen, her bosom
flush with excitement,
hailing her goddess as
she slighted very
eloquently, puissant.
The goodness they
shared was of sinful
reproach, a somber
obedience of lovers'
admiration.
The dusk laden sky
flickered with prose,
the sorrows of
Belial's romance of lost
mysteries and his
vengeant domineer,
his bravado, his
masculinity, cascading
like spirals of chaos
and the chimes of
instilled darkness
climaxing to the
sojourn of forbidden
pleasures.
Gently now,
Belial eased this
fair lady to her lover's
demand, her patience
swelling between her
thighs, burning. . .
eternally.
- - - -
I.
Awoken from a dream,
a fair common was she,
her beauty unsurpassed
only by her soulful
demeanor and natural
prelude. Her femininity
and subtle prowess
always the victor,
her passion a hearkening
rose upon a lonely
desolate scorn. Her
feelings a bit feverish,
there now, nothingness
and the harlots of
misery and the massacre
of saintliness. The venom
there pulsing now,
was evermore raspy,
and only to the
delight of our royal
antiquities, vespers
of envy, of anger's delight,
of beckoning glee, a
madman's exuberation to
the deafening hysterias
of mischief's vertigo.

A marriage. . .
arranged, a stiffening
King to his Prince's
triumph over darkness.
Yes, this common peasant
and her divine bounty
was as a peril of Eve
searching for her lost
Eden.
There being no more
reprise, bitter, for her
burden, she was to share.
Somber eyes and
a broom for everyone
to take hold. Yes, the
beauty of a fair maiden
this, so vast and of
such masterful drab,
splendor to all of
the shared treasures
in spirits.

Rage!
A taunting basilisk,
enslaying our vat of
christendom and devotion.
To this day, of prayerful
morn, maiden Geinere,
awoke, scarlet fever.
