Premium Member 'twas the Night Before Christmas and Christ Was Left Out

Twas the night before christmas
and Christ was left out,
with no peep of the Good News,
no mountainous shout.

Stockings were hung
by the chimney the same,
but no one made mention
of the Savior's name.

On this sacred night
there were still shopping plans.
Their heart was poured out
through money changers' hands.

'Twas the hustle and bustle
of past Christmas Eves.
Once deemed a holy night,
now a den of thieves.*

Folks went into debt
for the pleasure to give,
not counting the cross
and what it cost to forgive.

Presents were plenty.
Wish lists were fulfilled,
but they didn't thank God
for the blood that was spilled.

An "X" had replaced
the unspeakable name.
Christmas without Christ
was now one and the same.

'Twas the night before Christmas
and Christ was left out.
The townsfolk had forgotten
what Christmas was about.

Merry Christmas to all; let Christ become your light.

*Matthew 21:12-13

And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."

The College

The knowledge…from ‘The College’…
Is any other high school greater…maybe later…?
From a tender age…what is the stage…?
The motto…never yield…but be brave…
For five years…no fears…some stares…many cheers…
The academics…the challenge of schools…
The athletics…the lane makes the pool…
The football…makes it to the hall…
Of fame…to dominate the game…no shame…
The teachings of life…the overcoming of strife…
The offerings…the differing…
The camaraderie…the rivalry…
The victories…what a history…?
From whence we came…we cherish the name…
Boys only…never a lonely…
The journey to school…the learning; our tool…
The subjects we take…the times we awake…
The visits to the library…we never get weary…?
The varied of our surroundings…the range of our moldings…
Branded as downtown….never to frown…
Few without shoes…never to lose…
The focus…like most of us…
To be leaders…role models…
To be life changers…confronting dangers…
Embracing of strangers….being re-arrangers…
As the journey unfolds…some stories told…
Many have stated…the times have been dated…
The meaning of ties…the words to the wise…
The creation of a bond…which blended beyond…
The school-term years…the classroom chairs…
The running up stairs…the books of theirs…
The memories of an institution…the carvings of a tradition…
The initiation of a plan…the creating of a man…
Look back…take stack…
It’s not an assumption…neither an assertion…
‘The College’…is it the greatness of foundation…?

Premium Member The Pooka

The moon is full and white, and chill, this night,
it cascades past my open window sill,
and all the color fades to dark from light,
a monochrome of gray which can't be stilled.

The armoire's shadow strays across the floor.
I watch it from within my canopy bed.
as a nightmare gallops through my open door,
a Pooka* black as coal with eyes which bled.

Its jaw agape red gore froths from his maw,
and it slowly paws the cover from my bed,
a scream freezes in my throat to bird-like caw,
it dips for me to mount, as I am led.

Upon a demon spawn, I scour the moor
'til dawn descends to end this foul glamour.

6/7/13

*The pooka is a primarily a creature of Irish folklore. Considered to be both bringers of good and bad fortune. The creatures were said to be shape changers which could take the appearance of black horses.

World Changers

When someone is born,

their life stretches before them,

a million-color tapestry shining with adventure,

hope,

dreams,

and chances to change their world.

Anyone can change the world around them.

Sometimes it's as simple as saying "hello",

or banding together to create something amazing.

We're all born world-changers.

We're all born with the talent to make our world a better place.

The world can be changed,

and anyone can make a difference.

All it takes is the courage to do it.

Where Are the Elijahs of God

Where are the people of God?
Where are the people who can stand for God?
Where are the new breed of our generation?
Where are the courageous men of God?
Who will raise the next Elijahs of God?
Who will raise the next generation of fire fighters?
Who will empower the youths and breed them?

Man Up! Man Up!! Let's man up for christ,
Let's become the world changers and history makers,
Let us take over the world for our God;
Jesus has paid the ransom for our sins.
Where are the Elijah's of our Lord jesus christ?
Who can stand against the modern Baals
And defend our faith in Christ Jesus.

The media world is waiting for us,
The entertainment sphere is waiting for us,
Let's take over the commercial sector,
The political, economy and educational sphere.
Man Up! Man up!! Man up for Christ,
Make a positive change and take charge,
Then nurture the nature of mankind.

We are the light and salt of the world,
Return to the old rugged cross, return to the cross
Man up and take dominion over sin and change for better.

Where are the Elijahs of our God?
Where are they?
Where are the moses of our God?
Where are the Elishas, Jeremiahs of our time?
Where are the Joshuas of God?
The joshua who can make the sun becomes black.
Where are the Esthers of our time?
Where are the Josephs of our time?
Where are the Isaiahs of our generation?

What would you like to be remembered for,
A praise for woman or a hypocracy of the Church?
Bribery and corruption, backbitting, stealing, confusion, regression, pains, immorality has taken the church we once called a holy place and no one to purge out the sins thereof.
Where are the Gideons of our Generation?
Where are the Johns of our God?
Are we going to allow satan take charge?

Why are we running from pillar to post?
We have lost our right in christiandom and sin has taken over our lives.
Where is our stand in christ's life?
Are we just christians in the lips?
Potopoto, kwamkwam, pinopino, christians?
Man up and take over, brother,
We are the new breeds of christ.
All the sphere of human endeanour are waiting for us
To call down fire.
Man up, take courage, man up for christ jesus.

1970s University of Life

Nineteen seventies, teenage years, never on my own,
end of school education, I’m now ready to do my thing
full of life, excess energy, over flowing with testosterone
sampling alcohol drinks, karaoke, thinking I could sing,

working life, set hours, rules and regulations to adhere
payday, money in my pocket, things to buy, new clothes,
night clubs, late nights early mornings, nothing to fear,
search for records, Motown, Beatles and the shadows,

feelings of freedom, my motorcycle and all the gear
helmet, jacket, scarf and boots, girl on pillion seat,
experience foreign holidays, sun, sangria and cheer,
nineteen seventies a time of work new people to meet,

decade of fashion, an era of change, for this country lad
new experiences, problems to solve, life changers,
Ben Sherman, Oxford bags, flower power, shoulder pad
oh to be young, free, happy, unable to see life’s dangers.

Changing

Changers are like the weather…forever changing and never the same, we all must make

a difference in all that we do in our lifetime. Life is all about changes and growth in

our...either you are the mechanism for change or you’re an acceptor or complainer...and

things will forever remain the same. No man has ever completed a journey standing in

one spot.

No dream was ever realized by someone who kept on dreaming, no discoveries were

ever made by a day dreamer...and no wars were ever won by words alone! Changers

make the world a better place to live in, so stop wishing on a star and take a stand for

once in your life! Become a changer and make a change in this world we live in, so our

future generations can have a better life!

Changing

Leaving, moving on
Takes a heart filled with courage
Remembering love

Uprooted plants wilt
Searching for warm sunlight and
Raindrops to refresh

New roots are sprouting
Branching in all directions
Life begins anew

Forming bright colors
Shaping new inspirations
New chapters to read

Possibility
Invited by the changers
Risking the future

If Jesus Were a Wimp, He Would Not Have Been Doing His Job

Someone criticized Pope Francis for
Criticizing Donald Trump
Saying that the Pope should be
Loving and Forgiving

I thought the Pope is supposed to represent
Jesus on Earth

I don’t recall that Jesus was ever soft
On Hypocrites or Haters

Jesus was Loving and Forgiving;
Even to those who put Him up on the cross
“Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do”
But He threw out the money changers
From the Temple
He confronted the Pharisees
He prevented the stoning of a woman
He healed and protected

Love is not weak
Forgiving is not appeasing
Teaching is not permitting others to continue
Their hurtful ways

I think Pope Francis is doing a good job

When We Can

Sentences that dissect our
limited lives
relate to nothing,
The only question to answer
is a view devoid of explicit sounds
that say who we are
who we answer to
and where we berth in our limited time,
Commands we answer to
embrace our strengths...
Divorce our struggles from
our destinies
and bury our thoughts,
And demand of us to grow, to defeat
To carry an unswerving belief beyond its immediate restrictions
to sway and startle our internal displays of affection,
to state our case,
and demand our unchristianed title
as changers...
to pray when we can...
and cry when we cannot.

The soul behind the mind
The thoughts gain entrance
Tick, tick, tick…
All wound up
Tick, tick.
Just a matter of time.
Pre-released dreams coming into being
Tick, tick
We never retaliated
We’ve always waited.

The redundant fear grows
Inside where hope hides
Locked in doom
loomed in stitches
Patiently waiting
The busy work, we throw ourselves
Into, not thinking of outcomes
Nor the finality of a phase.

Tick.
Came into this world
On borrowed time.
In the middle of someone’s madness;
Some dead persons unfinished plans
lands in my time zones territory.

Whose century old thoughts, be these?
Bandits, guilty of mind control.

Left in our vibrational stream
Continuing to ripple
on my particular frequency.

ticking...
invading our original mindsets.
invaders of generations...
time released tomfoolery from past centuries…

We are exploding and ticking;

While unstitching and undoing the threads
Of their intricate and untimely designs.

These Bogglers of our once sound minds, keep us
ticking like time bombs.
Kaboom, boom, boom we explode,
detonations, erupting, blowing up;
blasting bunkers, as you hunker.

We finally feel something"
We are sending out new patterns,
new waves, we are the code changers.
Locking out the old patterns
Those preconceived notions
No longer received.

As I am…
Impenetrable nothing you do,
say or set a trap for, will capture me.
My soul belongs to me and my creator;
Great wisdom has he blown into my being and it
is growing in me, profoundly.

I will render you helpless as I burn your books.
Diminish your importance and make you impotent.
You shall crumble and smolder back into the dust...

And when the oceans demand my return.
I shall ride on the new waves of time
I am the soul behind my own thoughts.

As the thought waves of the All-Knowing
regain entrance into my new mind.
And the ticking stops…
Time continues infinitely.
Let the herbs, “and the words be my food ...
and my medicine.
“HUE-mans no longer an endangered
Species ... And for God:
We have replenished this earthly sod
As it was in the beginning”.

Trans-Changers

Looking through the window
Everything seems like a puzzle
His coming ought to rekindle
Instead all have dwindle

Change is all we asked
Not knowing they were masked
Although they were tasked
Everything remain the same

Three square meal
Has become dream
Off course to the peasants

Their people
Have become cable
That is seen in every neighborhood

Across their neck
Is a wood to inflict wound
On people
Although they claim is for their cattle
But we sure know better

Funny it may sound
They are like sand
That is seen everywhere

Ministers have become blisters
In the hands of the peasants
The name may be lai
But the parents mean lie

Truth they say they speak
But lies we know we hear

The cost of living
Has made the peasants livid
Tomatoes have grown toes
Out of the market

Yet store houses grow millions of naira everyday
The planter we know not
The keeper we know not
The owner we know not
Oh my father's land!!

I hear there is a change
A change we never asked for
Is it an America based president?
Or the federal palace has a new headquarter?
No one knows the answer

Oh! Nigeria my father land
Its now in a farther land
Where can be reach by the rich

The ruled have no clue
Instead they have been gripped by grippe and grief
We were told that the arena was filled with milk and honey
What we now see is Sickness and mourning

Men on black have become terror and horror
Off course to the peasants
Need less to say , they are morons
Protection have been substituted for extortion

The white men see them as gods
Here, they are best described as dogs
On them are lies instead of lice

Law makers;
I mean,
Law breakers
Are the least of the shame we now have

We now have wrestlers in our chambers
Maze have become swords
Automatically our chambers have become battle field
Their shame has become their fame

Wooowuuuu

The erudite are not left behind
In fact they are fart that has polluted our arena
Years after years
Justice have been denied
We need TRANS-CHANGERS!!
We need transformed men and women!
Not transformation!
We need changed men and women!
Not Change!

Soul - Love Series 7

1.
“Communion of saints, forgiveness of sins,”
Worship words recited, relationships
Reflected among restless, inconstant,
Imperfect people, somehow sharing a
Faith which makes them one. I appropriate
These sacred words to speak in hallowed
Terms to the bond which unites our two hearts,
Holy Union, Wholly Uniting Us!
COMMUNION – Like a song without words whose
Message, nonetheless, is yet understood,
So the silent speech flowing between us,
Is Presence, Attentive, Observant, Sure.
Two souls be one, binary Nirvana
Admitting but two in oneness sublime.

2.
SAINTS – Hardly perfect, my dear, you know me
Far too well. Eccentricities abound,
Sometimes so irritatingly. And yet,
We cannot deny in process, we are
Progressing toward Union perfected
The Goal is in sight, detours abundant..
But what we can be, and who we become
Are foreshadowed now in who we are.
FORGIVENESS – the grace we apply to each
Failure and hurt is commitment which says
Your Worth is far greater to me than this.
When you fall in the path, I will be there,
For I fall, too, and would fail were it not
For my kinsman-redeemer rescuer.

3.
SINS – game changers,lower’d estimation,
Marks of judgment, condemnation of wrong;
Relationship Enders? Hardly! For when
I remember yesterday’s offense was
Mine, and through tears you helped me understand
The wounding I caus’d in a delicate soul.
Now, it’s my turn to take umbrage, or be
An agent of mercy embracing you.
With wonder we gaze, appreciation
Abounding for our miracle Union.
The love we communicate through hands, lips,
Eyes, Ears, Hair and animated solely
By this deepest Stillness, soul assurance
That this be an unassailable bond.
