Feast Day of St. Augustine 1565
Spanish settlers rowed covertly to shore
more than 600 torches ushered in a new era of light

torches turned to gaslights
hanging yet today in a city of artists
where street singers hope you’ll look their way

centuries...

Stepping On St Augustine Two Months Past February.
He's

sorry

for what he's done....

he's

apologetic, but the moon

she's crumbled in my palms and drenched

in my tears.

I rub my hands across my jeans and shoot stars across my ripped up, tarnished wardrobe

maybe he'll witness me before he closes his eyes

maybe he'll blind himself with tears...

I'm

kicking tomorrow off...

Augustine Galileo's Heart
Always holding fast loves muse; never distant from this seemingly

Knights-errant spirit; symmetrical mirrors reflecting such hues amid these

Revolving spectrums crossed....

Afore a galaxy of stars both near and afar ~

Scarlets vivid oarnge heart immersed in the pools of febrils

Passion soaked gravitations thus red; filling these eyes...

Saint Augustine Calling
from the dust and din of the ancient Roman world,
calling to people of good faith everywhere,
to make imperialist, unjust war no more.

But only the West's warmongers
and profiteers hold the rostrum today...
Those same "shoddy thieves and assassins", indeed.
Instigators, and the mistaken, pretending their very best...

Joy love;
On July 14th afternoon,

Augustine Was Right
Time an illusion,
to make sense of reality

Reality an illusion,
to order and place

Order an illusion,
to all that’s a given

What’s given Divine
—indefinable Grace

A mother
Waddles
Into the hospital
They lay her down
They prep her
Time is now to birth a child
And upon this day
God has said
The sunrise July 14,
A spirit/physical burst forth
Now then is how it begins
The sunrise, the birth of …

Moonlight is a shimmering sonata
Softly sounded on Ludwig’s piano keys;
A starry night is brightly layered oils
Van brushed boldly...

In what good has it all come to
In my imaginary mind?
We roll through the wake of the water,
Goddammitting our way through.
Rising with our victories.
Cursing in our swift descents.
Buddhists are laughing on the shoreline.
I’m selling popcorn on the boat.
