Solisticity

first the wash from light white blue down to brown
That ugly brown from mixing all those colors
and only at the very base of it to lower the horizon
and expand the vastness of the vista

Then the slashing scimitar of curve
with endings in infinity
Twisting the edges through clouds
to show the torn tearing droplets

Then smooth in the white to capture light
reflected in the shadowed spectral essences
revealed possibly in a second glance
morphing into coils of twisted mist

He blinks and rubs a wrist across his eyes
Brush held in suspense above the waiting canvas
Searching through his caves of creativity
with a burning need to light the walls aflame

Why not a curving canvas
with folds and waves of verticality
There is no rule to keep this two dimensional
a moving light source could turn this yet again

Forever, In Your Keep

Words of spoken love fall deaf upon thy soul, recall the joy of then
When we held hands, when we saw the moon oh sweet sparkling light of trule love
The light reveals all when present, nothing can hide in the dark, and so I emerged
Yet all there is left of you is the memory, the scenes that replay again and again

How can I ever get past the most beautiful time I have ever lived
Reason with my soul, and you will see I truly am crazy, stuck in the depth of your name
It is your very smile that drives the dreams inside me, and I wont fall asleep
Only in my ever lasting sleep can I ever put you past the banks of my all knowing

Spread thy wings and fly high, as I recall you showed me how to love, and so I fell by myself
Long are the hours, oh what pain will I describe in my speech, none to match your judgment
As far as i breathe a scene comes to my eyes, and you live once again by me
You were the color of my every stage, and I your favorite actor, yet one must know all ends

Today it is I whom leaves, I whom weeps of sour days that fall into history
Tomorrow I pray it isnt you, for you deserve better, and I your worst routine
Never did I mean to be whom I was, I dont blame you for leaving, be happy and I too will be
Just know that no matter where you are, in my heart you are, and I in your keep

Claude

He was born November 4th
in Paris France
and had an artistic eye the moment he was born
his fascination
with light upon the waters
reflected itself
in the painting of the Red Boats which is
priceless today

He was a dreamer and
an impressionist schemer
studying composition upon the lap of the masters
he would wile away the time
mixing tints and hues
and worked in yellows
crimsons and
various shades of blues

for me i liked the irises
as they graced the canvas with luminosity
and I found the sunflowers wonderful
as they stretched forth with light that seemed free

his passion is an inspiration
for all the various artists to be
a compelling path to follow
undoubtedly.

Lamp

. Let your light shine, today
Let you light shine, forever more
Guide my feet in the night and erase
The ghostly shadows from my sight, sit close
Glow and calm my fears, ease my fears, stay near
                                    Like my dear friend
                                    Never leave my side
                                    The amber glow is
                                    Warm and sensual
                                    A comfort to my eye
                                  Shadows surround you
                                     Darkness fears you
                                     Dampness dries
                                     Before your warmth
                                     Glowing friend
                                     Faithful friend

Will Ya Look At That

The ringworm made its way
passed me today
It had questions
regarding a simple matter

“A vagrant of a mad mans mad man”
he said I was

Then In awe
we saw
each others face

The ringworm recoiled

He stole the stars that foiled the plan
he depigmented the flush of colorless lives that now flood the land

We saw each others face
not far but near
plain and clear
out of fear

The ringworm has never been this scared of me
I’m usually the one dragging knees
further along
a smile weaved within concrete

I swear he’s usually brave,
competent and thoroughly fit for the task

Now he’s the noose we never thought to use
All the truths
will light the fuse
to torch the lake
it’s light should be fortunate
in the saving arms of the snake

We all get a little fortunate
when a ringworm crowns itself a Saint

Mona Lisa

It's now dark
The curtains are closed
The audience has gone wild
The actress has taken her final bow

All she hears is applauds, but no one realizes what has actually been done
Tonight is her final act
Roses are thrown on stage while her mascara runs down her cold cheek
Now she only sees a crowd, but mute in her eyes

Standing there in pain, a light hits her
She is in the spot light of reality
Begging for a sign, any kind of sign to come
Unable to function while dreaming of her past

He comes to mind
Tell her that it'll be alright and no one will hurt her
Lies...Lies...and that is all that she'll ever hear
He says words that are sweet and kind, but means them with every girl he meets

The actress has nothing to live for
Her life has gone into shambles and can't be repaired
He took her feeling of living another day on this Earth
He left her all alone in the dark without notice

She wants to believe that it was for the best
But she can't seem to figure out why it had to be her at this moment
She loved him...he loved her, that's what she thought
Life was incredible as though it was a fairy tale

The spot light leaves her and its dark again
Everyone is gone, vanished- just her
Helpless and nothing left to go on with
Give her a sign, any kind of sign

Mona...
Mona Lisa was her name
She never let anyone not even a man shut her down, until him
He slid right past her radar and ruined her little by little

Give her a sign, any kind of sign
Let her see that there is more to live for than being heartbroken
Give her the spot light again to strive for her fulfilled destiny
Open up the curtain and give her a round of applause to moving on with her life

The Reward of An Art

of all the wonders of life in my time
some documentary,history,commentary and mystery
some told of,others heard of,noon seen of
be it fairy tale, moon light tale or bed side tale
ALL after the taste, this taste, one taste

he that seek knowledge ha shall find
is it for the records or for mere fun?
that you can sacrifice candles and the night
futures are made or marred at night hours
so what you read will lead

a second look and thought will make the difference
judging the look of things you've been long on this path
why aren't you part of the fat?
oh,maybe you are among the thinking side
the heart that pumps the life without seeing the light

have you heard of any stories of you predecessors?
of one, two, three or more of same fate
learn from them, hope it won't divert your line
everyone needs a model,an example and mirror fellow
now why the enthusiasm?if the base be this little
