Mona Lisa
It's now dark
The curtains are closed
The audience has gone wild
The actress has taken her final bow
All she hears is applauds, but no one realizes what has actually been done
Tonight is her final act
Roses are thrown on stage while her mascara runs down her cold cheek
Now she only sees a crowd, but mute in her eyes
Standing there in pain, a light hits her
She is in the spot light of reality
Begging for a sign, any kind of sign to come
Unable to function while dreaming of her past
He comes to mind
Tell her that it'll be alright and no one will hurt her
Lies...Lies...and that is all that she'll ever hear
He says words that are sweet and kind, but means them with every girl he meets
The actress has nothing to live for
Her life has gone into shambles and can't be repaired
He took her feeling of living another day on this Earth
He left her all alone in the dark without notice
She wants to believe that it was for the best
But she can't seem to figure out why it had to be her at this moment
She loved him...he loved her, that's what she thought
Life was incredible as though it was a fairy tale
The spot light leaves her and its dark again
Everyone is gone, vanished- just her
Helpless and nothing left to go on with
Give her a sign, any kind of sign
Mona...
Mona Lisa was her name
She never let anyone not even a man shut her down, until him
He slid right past her radar and ruined her little by little
Give her a sign, any kind of sign
Let her see that there is more to live for than being heartbroken
Give her the spot light again to strive for her fulfilled destiny
Open up the curtain and give her a round of applause to moving on with her life
