They call you the fallen one, with short tuffted curls
the one responsible for the chaos in the world
you may be the cause,as we live the effect
but your time is near,as you continue to infect
Like an invisible predator, you prey on the weak
like a pride of lions, you pounce on the meek
false pride as it is,your rebellious tirades
the lamb shall arrive to expose your charade
You've enjoyed this sadomasochism way too much
mad puppeteer with an unseen touch
unconscionable,incorrigible,shameless you believe
disgraced by your own doing, from tricks up your sleeve
There are some whom believe, even you have a purpose
hard to conceive,as you delight being murderous
ravager of souls and the misled conscience
fantasy and fallacy are amusements fictitious
But I...
Sheathed in light, resistant to your malice
filled to the brim like a holy chalice
illusory charms deflect from the scene
impermeable am I,to your vicious deeds...
especially,
how you conduct your kangaroo court......

Sin is so very an attractiveness thing
our flesh bows to its allurements
believing its suttle words so suggestive
its power holds us in its amusements
The Bible declares sin so dangerous
it corrupts and corrodes the heart
makes it deceitful and desperately sick
totally blinding us in no small part
This evil all came in at the garden in Eden
Eve rebelling from all that was good
persuading herself the tree was fine food
then convinced Adam both misunderstood
Sin dresses attractively in our fallen state
luring us to think that all is going be right
deluding each of us to our own folly
no wonder God says stand true to fight
Paul warns us speaking to the Ephesians
be strong and armed against devil's cunning
for our enemy, the devil uses sin to blind us
look to the Lord to send Satan running

Her thoughts and amusements were opaque. Blocked in a defensive wall.
Early hurt feelings had caused this, said her empathetic spiritual advisors
She had learned at a young age the wisdom of keeping her emotions inside.
She had been burned early. Sharing feelings where they were not welcome.
Annoying selfish people who were focused on their own hurts.
Drowning them in buckets of bitter tasting alcohol,
Smoking them in cartons of Winston cigarettes.
Smacking her unwelcome feelings down.
Laughing at them. Making her cry.
Her thoughts were opaque.
Not easy to decipher.
Not easy to guess.
Not easy at all.
Yet they
were
her
own
One
Thing
She
Could
Control.

Dry leaves carpeted the floor,
'Any objection to the joining of these two?'
No answer, only the snake hisses and the bee buzzes,
Holy matrimony far from family members and friends,
in the thick forest of the western coast under the
great oak tree-the couple stands firmly.
Two hands joined by mother nature with a silver ring,
in the presence of the wind and wood pecker,
Orchestrated music provided by the rustling of leaves,
and far away in the city Christmas is celebrated,
Carols in churches, kids wallow in parks with
amusements and adults in bars with bottles of drinks.
They stand in front of this true Christmas tree,
Rays of hope from the sun illuminate the forest,
The dream of the Two becomes a reality,
Hope of living together in tranquility in focus,
The stage is set for a new life as cupid blesses,
No one,not even the black fly can put asunder.

Epithalamium
Modest swimsuits, bathing boxes
White-blue flesh ice cold
Scratchy towels, sandy sandwiches
Pots of tea being sold
Foxford blankets, picnic baskets –
A donkey ride on the strand
Flowery summer frocks, mischief brimming
A practical joke being planned
Hesitant breast strokes – high pitched laughter
Terror, delight ‘the cold’! -
Sunburn, windburn, scalded skin –
‘You’ll remember this when you are old’
Your mother is calling ‘the picnic is ready’
‘I’ll be there in a minute’, you say.
As you dive down again under –
The sea bed to plunder -
‘There is treasure down there, Mam’ you say!’
Landladies’ rules, pubs with high stools
‘– A large bottle, sir, if you please -
And may be a chaser?’ ‘You are a disgrace, sir -
The night will blow away with the breeze’.
A day at the races, smiles on mens’ faces,
Jingles in pockets, dinner in ‘Rocketts’ -
A beer and a ***, a joke and a drag –
‘This is grand, Sir!’
Which horse do you fancy – I think Mary Nancy
Called after his missus – and just as delicious
‘A winner for sure, sir
And what are you bettin’? Think of what you’ll be gettin’
When you win on the jackpot –
It is certain, sir!’
Sea-side rock plastic,
Coloured windmills fantastic
Naughty postcards to be hidden
– Their content forbidden,
By your mother –
The day’s nearly over –
You are tired – you’ll recover
For a night at the amusements – you have one and twopence
Clean clothes, polished shoes and a song.

Narrative
Straight rows of soft chairs, larval eyes stare blank
Absorbed by glowing colors on the wall
Their jaws slack, fetid whiff, unwashed and dank
Arrested minds the blue screen does enthrall
Their horticulture, growing docile strains
Indulge the twisted whims our lords conceive
The whores to culture, placid in their chains
Reclining prostrate, ready to believe
Our nation’s spirit sinking to expire
Omniscient demigods behind the screen
Transmuting our light to synthetic ire
Red, white, and blue bows to red, blue and green
Unconscious fulcrum, force you can’t deny
Black keys in gray hands of the puppet priest
Subliminal, no chance to wonder why
Clandestine reins pulled taut, they lead the beast
Imbue the symbol with gilt qualities
Admire how they conspire, our life rewired
Such dazzling tricks to blind the polity
In breaded, cheap amusements, we are mired
Our brave new virtual reality
With hidden craft, untruth is overlayed
Eclipsed sun darkens to totality
Beneath benighted noon we walk as day
Predicted, instinct’s base reaction known
To tidal waves of violence and sex
Minds titillated by distraction’s bone
From our Media-Government Complex
Our internecine hatreds stoked, inflamed
Creating and enhancing the divide
True culprits are protected, victims blamed
Incessant war, the great rift yawning wide
Unseemly freedoms have been made taboo
Renouncing power, most don’t even grieve
Relieved to give up guns and money too
Behind red tape and laws lurk skulking thieves
Resounding echoes, our once great New World
Through wavelengths, diodes, context redefined
Cold software guiding social plots unfurled
Far colder people fine-tune the hive mind
Inheritors of might presume the role
Unburdened by the ballast of remorse
Their dark ascent to power and control
Soul-searing wind as you climb to the source
Some zealots hold that this is Satan’s world
Each object of desire imbued with blight
Much clearer when the plan becomes unfurled
So glaring it becomes they have the right
This morbid monolith, our freedom’s bane
Temptation steals your breath, you’d best beware
Choose reason in a world that’s gone insane
Reclaim your only soul and say a prayer

Into the darkness with adventurous fantasies at stake
Wondering how much this creative experience
Will actually make
It was only a few months ago
One’s mind played out the moving picture show
A funny friendly rollercoaster ride the characters did take
Following an author’s imaginary directions filled with dips and turns for heaven’s sake
Why do you put them through this?
When the protagonist only wanted was a mutual embracing credit crawling kiss
Conflicts were in sight
When they could feel a big fright
While enjoying being high and ready to touch the sky
In love encountering the beautiful vibe
Until seconds later there is a drop that had so many feet
Making a setting not so sweet
Things started moving fast
Sailing along like an angry gust hitting an enchanting mast
Eventually the writer slows it down
Penning an apology not requesting a frown
Once again the action starts to rise
When one of the characters mistakenly speaks dialogue
Filled with lies
Chains start to pull than release
All the characters are still at peace
Before the natural force
Runs its course of sorts
Totally safe this scripted affair
Having all the amusements one fetishes if they dare
Does the talent know?
There is a happy ending for the dame and the beau
While letting the passengers go
Having an upset feeling
From all the reeling
The rider asks, “Do you want to do it again?”
Contacting the agent to decide when
Knowing a story never actually has an end
As new characters embark
For another trip in the dark
They get comfortable in the seat
Waiting for the tantalizing treat
Received in the car
Designed to show the feelings that is dealt to the romantic comedy star

they say that
the traveling carnival
will visit our town soon
whether the weather
has been lately
somehow filled with gloom
and I'm just lurking
by the railway tracks
waiting for the ghostly train
and feel in my bones
that something wicked
is on it's sinister way
buy the ticket,
take the ride!
shout the jolly jesters
through danse macabre
balloons and darts
to the house of wacky waxworks
the imaginarium
lures everyone in
to explore the forbidden
fantasies of lust
with unknown consequences
something's just wrong
with this carnival of rust
what about the somber freakshow
the panopticon
the maze of terrors
thrills and spills
skeletal knife throwers
bizarre exhibitions
dark amusements
or a carousel that kills
beware the carnivores
of the eerie carnival
don't go there when it arrives
beware the devilish attractions
don't believe
the bait of fun times

Politics of health
On issues like Gay marriage,
Medical marijuana or assisted suicide,
Will of the people goes out the window.
They argue, one can act normally when high
Pot-smoking makes you unmotivated, a lie!!!!
They have their own axes to grind.
We come across another type of people who argue
There are better medications than Marijuana
Less damaging health to relieve pain
Much better treatment for pain
Marijuana is not a drug
But an herb and a flower
God put it here to grow
No right to say God is wrong
They have their own breads to butter.
Yet another majority of people who barb
Roll it. Light it.
Inhale it. Hold it.
They have their own amusements to rejoice.

Verse
Enjoy your techno-toys while you can;
As you frantically surf the internet
In a vain, pathetic attempt to "keep up"
With meaningless jumbles of jibber-jabber
Which you consider essential information.
All those gotta-have gadgets you crave
Like some new kind of 21st-Century addict
Are gouging a hole out of your soul
As they maintain a sensation of completeness
By filling you up with pastries for the mind.
Your tedious little pompous amusements,
(For that is all they are, in fact), could
Someday soon be wrenched from your so-called
Lives by the merest whim of our nearby star
When it casually spews raging plasma our way
In a blithely impersonal Coronal Mass Ejection.
Perhaps then you'll acquire some notion
Of how much of yourself you've invested in
Virtual Reality over actual reality, in Oxy-
Moronic "on-line relationships" with people you
Have never met, whose voices you'll never hear.
Your legions of electronic "friends" will
Evaporate in the space of a few short minutes
And you'll run screaming down the corridors of
Your mansions and tenement buildings in searing
Paroxysms of apoplexy before your brains finally
Implode and you all plunge into everlasting coma!
