Premium Member Our Breakfast Was Most Alarming

We’re having a little break from home
and had planned a busy day,
after a leisurely breakfast
we would soon be on our way.

We sauntered down to the restaurant
and were shown to a window table,
I fetched a bowl of blueberry yoghurt
whilst my hubby got a ham bagel

Before a morsel reached our mouths
the fire alarm began to ring,
we hurried to vacate the room
and we hadn’t eaten a darn thing!

A stream of hungry hotel guests
were ushered out of the door,
my tummy started grumbling
I could hear it gurgle and roar

We stood out in the freezing cold
thankfully there was no actual fire,
and we subsequently discovered
it was caused by a faulty hairdryer!

We crossed the road back to the hotel
and returned to find our original seat,
but hubby wasn’t starving hungry
on the way out he’d grabbed a sausage to eat!

ALARMING GHASTLY GHOSTLY HOST--
I saw an alarming ghost,
It wasn't all by choice;
I saw a scary spectre,
swapping alarming for scary...entomb host;
swapping ghost for the spectre,
gravesite loyal protector;
~
I saw an alarming ghost;
I heard a ghastly ghost,
swapping alarming for a ghastly scary loyal host;

Premium Member Delightfully Alarming Wisdom On Farming

Beef is conceived in a package
Onions are grown in a bag
Sardines swim best in oil
  Pebbles thrive in the soil

Today's teens don't know geography
But they sure do know about farming
Lines above from youth essays on agriculture
  Aren't they delightfully alarming?

The Alarming Voice of a Nameless Mystic

Dear ladies and gentlemen!
You're born on this Earth
For leading your entire life
That could be defined
Simply in a few words as
‘Merely childish’

You all have managed to learn
A kind of an artificial voice
That doesn’t connect you
With your inner hearts:
You’re all heartless toys!

You live with your ugly fashion
Wearing jeans with torn patches
Half-a feet high chappals
And all your artificial body scents:
The ultimate childishness
On all the planets and the suns!

You strictly follow your silliest ideas
About anything and everything
On all matters, on all things:
They're aimed at a big 'BEGGING':
Begging for love, begging for money,
Begging for fame, begging for sex...
And what not?

Have you ever heard
Your own inner voice?

Have you ever sought
The precious help of
Your inner conscience?

Nay,
You've knowingly avoided
The voice of your heart
And hide it underneath
The dark corners
Of your satanic mind

My dear ‘grown-up children’!

Get ready now
To suffer the consequences
Of this kind of ugly life
With all your artificialities
And all your wisdom-less
Superfluous notions and ideas

An exact judgment is
Awaiting you, for sure,
With all its powerful
Ways and means
To constantly beat you to death
Until you're awakened
To a simple truth:

"Listen to your
Heart’s voice
Throwing away
All your artificialities
You’ve indulged in
For too long a time"

Alarming - Collaboration

`

Once up early
Full of pep
Out the door
And down the step

But that was then
And this is now
Later on
I’ll wonder how

Now they‘re ruthless
just can’t do them
Yawning, cranky
past my prime

Set the clock
To something different
Let me sleep
Till dinner time

Alarming Speed

3/20/22

Going at an alarming speed
Taxes and parking fees
Across uncharted seas
I'm in the presence of sharks and trees
Keeping any B.S. far from me
Among constant conflict and chaos, I've only partially
Found harmony
It all use to dishearten me
Experienced much first hand rather harshly
Around me was constant paraphernalia like a pharmacy
In years past, I partook in some carpentry
Sometimes I make chimichurri with ingredients like parsley
Remarkably
What I do will not matter or it shall far exceed
All expectations, meanwhile most continue harming each
It's typical no longer startling
People charm and tease
Cause harm and cheat
A lot of them are a creep

Mama told me, boy get your s*** straight
Otherwise you're ending up in fifth place
Won't exceed if your content with that and think it's great

Someday I'mma drop a mixtape
On B.S. they often fixate
Far too many commit hate
Worldwide instead of just across this state

I'm not jaded
Even though I constantly got cross faded
Often living in space
For a long time I was a bit late
So the ship sank
But after a quick break
It all became innate

Still they treat others worse than inmates
People far too often piss-take
And they love to dictate
At this rate
That'll be their last mistake
Because it all gives shape
To being dim and fake
Leading toward a grim fate

Damn girl you got a thick waist
If I don't shape up, I could end up being fish bait
Can't get by with a higher loss than win rate

Specific crowds targeted
Harmful products continually marketed
Won't catch me in a cardigan
I finished it and now I've started it
Got back to drinking hard again
Risking an arm and leg
In daylight I'm charging in
Or in the dark I hid

Hmm girl, you're so very far from a gem
Often broke the hearts of men
For a long time of love they were hunger-starven

Got to keep a smart head
And a firearm instead
Of just a blade with a sharp edge
Concern for human life is often disregarded
Doesn't matter what you do, like if you bartend
Or became a jarhead
Can't do anything if you are dead

Alarming

Alternating, adjusting accuracy.
Allowing, accepting alarms.
Announcing, albeit alluding to
Actions, of arrivals arriving.

The alarm clock isn’t going off;
it’s dead there on the stoop.
I fear the feral cats
    were in the chicken coop.
