No Poet Monster, No Killer of Dreams

There is no poet monster and no killer of dreams.
Some people have imaginary visions, or so it seems.
All the trolls and bullies are gone, except for one,
who continues spinning webs of lies, never done.

No poison snake slithers inside these poetry halls.
No toddler antics committed, but for one who bawls,
crying out about leaders on lists, not being humble.
Boo hoo and hiss, with a pen this one does grumble

With references to "him" and "his" it's plain to see,
the one being slandered stands when he has to pee.
Bitterness runs rampant through veins of cold blood
and malicious words pour forth in an angry flood.

It's a shame this good man has been falsely accused,
but his mind and spirit remain unscathed, not bruised.
His soul is not empty and many call him 'my brother.'
Acrid words don't hurt him when penned by another.

Mildness is a virtue he shows many, without a doubt.
He doesn't look down on others with a haughty snout.
So, Milt, I am proud to be among those you call 'friend,'
and pity the one who besmirches you, trying to offend.

Premium Member Wine Country Usa, September I

                   WINE COUNTRY

September first, but not where I live!
This week, 111 degrees, outside, you drip like a sieve!

But grapes, don’t grow in freezing snow!
In wine country, we supply the USA with grapes needed for Vino….
don’t you know?

Four-thousand tons of grapes crushed here each year.
In a peaceful, multi- cultural, city, room for all, here!

A family city, devoted to God, filled with churches.
Non-violent, low crime, nobody gets besmirches.

I only find hateful comments on-line….
Glad those folk are not neighbors of mine!

I thank God for living in a city of peace and sanity.
A gift from Him, dusted with all colors of humanity!

No Good Deed Unpunished

By Elton Camp

The words of Jesus, Chef Arnold tries to heed
By actions, the hungry, homeless ones to feed

Words alone to the needy, Jesus did condemn
For the hungry, words won’t do good for him

Fort Lauderdale proclaims such as a No! No!
To give them food must not continue to be so

However, Chef Arnold at ninety years old
Refuses to kowtow and to do as he’s told

Gourmet food the chef prepares free
But the cops just won’t let him be

The kind man ticketed for a law violation
Is a sight that has disgusted the entire nation

Such a lack of compassion is surely a shame
Rightly besmirches Fort Lauderdale’s name

(Google it and see for yourself)

Sin

A cry for stability,
in a world where the
frayed edges of its sanity
steadily unravel,
is lost
as a
sigh only fuses with air

Everything once held
dear,
is disoriented and
peace is only
but a memory.

This is the
world we live in,
that the human
race, so kindly,
besmirches
the glory of God everyday.

This damaged
creation
was made to be beautiful,
flawless
but evil subtly smuggled itself
into God's extraordinary
design.

We call it sin.
