Belshazzar had a feast
before seeing the writing on the wall,
Quickly, falling, from the greatest to the least,
for dead-men,don't walk tall-
When lives are on God's scale
Only the just, live to tell the tale.

I feel Disturbed
with the callous call to arms
for vested gains
and rhetorical rants of raving men
ostentatiously out to save your souls
having pledged theirs to Lucifier's lien.
I see the city ablaze
with dreams of the denizens on the street
as they mindlessly move
to put their minds in front of soulless screens
churning out code for what they know not.
I wish I would, I wish I could
shout at the ostriches all around
who hear the screams and shut them out
pretending they do not exist.
What God's of Darkness
do we pray to
at temples of modern doom?
The Simon and Garfunkelian tune
finds vent as a doomsayer's dirge.
And I am suitably disturbed.

There was a city of Babylon whom
King Belshazzar ruled...
Till that one night, when he became “fooled.”
“Eat drink and be merry.”
Was the motto of the day!
But God had something else, he wanted to say!
The finger of God reached down
And wrote on the wall!
The prophet of God told the king,
his kingdom would fall!
The king panicked and later that night…
His kingdom fell… Without a fight!
May this be a lesson and a warning to us today!
We need to listen to God!
And what he has to say!
Our country may “enjoy” it’s wickedness and sin!
But one day soon! It will
be coming to an end!
Won’t you allow the writing of God,
to touch your heart’s door?
It was for me and you, that our savior died for!
God loves you more, than you’ll ever know!
He came to earth to redeem your soul!

The Night Belshazzar Died…
The night when Belshazzar seen
God’s writing on the wall,
He did not know that soon
Babylon would FALL.
This king who thought he was so
“awesome and great.”
Didn’t know that death soon
would be his fate.
“Eat, drink and be merry”
was the motto of the day.
But God had something
else to say!
The days of endulging themselves
in wickedness and sin,
Was soon to be destroyed
by their enemies within.
This life which for long
you have enjoyed,
Shall one day perish
and be destroyed.
Allow the “writing of God”
to reach your heart’s door.
It is for you that Jesus died for!
Don’t allow the enemy
to destroy your soul.
For Jesus loves you more
than you’ll ever know!
