He was charming but
negligible - an easy
habit to give up.
He watched her typing
bubble appear and vanish

ghosted like Banquo
.
.
A song for this:
Waiting for Kenny by a Sécurité
.
.
Banquo = One of Shakespeare's many ghosts.
