Lingering thoughts of what I've yet to learn
Ignite my mind with an intense desire
Flames to unearth answers for which I yearn
Emerge from ashes of a kindled fire
Secrets buried without being revealed
Myths and conundrums, I'll unveil their truth
Yarns and ancient riddles that have been sealed
Solved, though I do not claim to be a sleuth
That would give us cause for celebration
Enigmas that hold such great mystery
Release their reasons for fascination
In aliens throughout our history
Explaining Stonehenge; a site I ponder
Searching for solutions, I must wander

H ow the years fly by like paper in the wind
A new year, a thread in life’s fabric to be sewn
P ieces gently stitched will one day take wings
P atterned like brocade with a mix of flowers gently strewn
Y arns of yesterday are quietly stored away
N ew beginings are generous gifts given to begin again
E ach one, a new day to live, play and travail
W eaving the fabric of life in spite of occasional dark rain
Y esterday’s gone forever into the well of time
E ach melody we write, through the universe resounds
A constant tune of worship for the divine
R eaching the Creator in whom alone peace is found
