( for Syria)
Flywheels enamel
with heartblood,
aortal ticks hesitate
before the dull bang
of a falling fist;
the fat knuckle
of the next hit,
tick tick the small ones,
the eaters of dust,
stone-eyed they
fall apart like lost time,
the weights that
regulate all this
are unbalanced.

White hot rage
On the nights you hunt
Life of intimacy and family
Familiar your spirit is to me.
Wolf-
An ordained totem to my quintessence.
Your being, exemplary.
Your meaning, came to me
In divine majesty
From the earliest memory.
Shapes of canis delight
I spy in the night-
When I hear you sing
I digest every sound
To perceive what you mean.
Inborn- your psyche and mine
Intermingle as one-
Totem-
Together we run synchronized
Familial bonds; immortal
Juxtaposed hearts; aortal.
Celestial energy
Empyrean chorus
Through your amber eyes
I view the emerald forest.
Spirit Wolf
you brought to me
your teachings of intelligence,
Society, honor and elegance.
History hath made you a mystery,
Savior to some
Contemptible to another
Either, or-
Serving our Earth Mother.
