Tiddly Widdly Willie Little Winkie Wee
Was ever so lovely and kind to little old me
I met him when I was living next to the sea
I think we were two, but we might have been three
Tiddly Widdly Willie Little Winkie Wee
was a lopsided dragon with a golden eye you see
My best friend forever, I nicknamed him Handsome Tee
He took me flying at night to Tennessee and Kentucky
My sister was scared, she was frightened of Tee
He was as big as an ocean liner in the deep blue sea
But he was gentle and kind, and he truly loved me
I will always love my pal, Tiddly Widdly Willie Little Winkie Wee

Happy-go-lucky were his middle names
Three because his parents liked to play name games
Does he have a first name? aske two concerned old dames
Yes, said his sister, Poindexter but James is what he claims.

Morey was thrilled because the cheese spa was coming.
The refrigerator made happy sounds, it was fairly humming.
The cheese was melting ahead of time in the microwave.
Morey was the first family member in; he is extremely brave.
This is not only comfortable, but tasty too he told the rest.
There was cheddar, provolone, but he liked the blue cheese best.
He scooted aside for his brothers, and his sister began to wail.
They have the best seats she whined; a complainer without fail.

Tornado Jim was an unruly evil F-5.
He barely left anyone alive.
Threw cattle and tractors into the air.
Crushed combines and backhoes; he did not care.
Gloated that he had destroyed more farms than his sis.
She gave him a mean finger and snarled with a hiss.
Next time she destroyed, she vowed to be worse than him.
She was always in competition with Tornado Jim.

Three adventuresome triplets were challenging the forest of the fey
When the sky turned to night, and the regular colors turned away.
A psychedelic hue came upon everything they saw including them.
Neon purples and turquoises changed every mushroom leaf and limb.
There she is, said Weewee, the leader of the triplet three.
Indeed, she was, right in front of them, the Goddess Missy Mee.
In the form of a giant jellyfish, as promised by the prophecy.
It is as the soothsayer told us, said Weewee’s sister Twee.
Their brother Bart was terrified, he hid his eyes under his cloak.
They were overcome with snickering from an overbearing oak.
It’s not nice to make fun of people, Weewee said to the tree.
I was laughing at something else he said, “Please excuse me.”
Goddess Missy Mee gave them some ideas, put them into their head.
Let them wander around, thinking about them, before they went to bed.
Utilized these ideas when they grew up, converted others thoughts too.
Many journeyed out here to see Missy Mee, I was one of ninety-two.

two wily willing avocado boys
dressed in costume, making lots of noise
danced a ring around my sister
she knows them well, calls one mister
first cousins, known as the two Roys
I saw them from a mile away
these two crazy jokers love to play
did not even roll my eyes
their antics now no big surprise
their costumes funny, green and gay

My sister always has Charlie holding on to her hat
He is a weird bug, but colorful, I will give him that
I will time how many minutes you can hang in that tree
Charlie, the arrogant bug said to me, to ME!
I was a bit annoyed, for he is not on my level at all.
I am a big burly boy, he is tiny, irritating and small.
Letting him time me was a decision my sister made.
I wished this bug would fly back to the Everglade.

I sat on the lovely mushroom village in the warm afternoon
Loving the feel of my soft tushy resting on a cushy mushroom
two faeries came by and I tried to catch them in a bowl.
They saw what I was attempting and laughed at my goal.
“We are sharper than that,” said the faerie boy named Snake.
His sister said, “Trying to catch us in a bowl was a huge mistake.”
I told them I meant them no harm, I just wanted an interview.
We are going to the skate park, we will return when we are through.”

My sister has a long blue dress,
Mother made mine too,
And told us not to make a mess!
Keep our hands neatly folded,
Don't prance or scamper about,
Neither of us wanted to be scolded!
Then Santa and MS. Claus came.
On a sparkling winter boat.
It was too much for us! No joke!
First our knees began to jump,
Then our feet started to pump,
Both of us landed in a lump!
Tumbling, rolling down hill,
It was too late!
We couldn't stay still!
Over and over, we ran up the hill,
Dropped to our knees,
And tumbled down still!
Now our blue dresses are muddy and green,
I think our mother is going to scream!

Quietly waiting
at the table
legs swinging…
Then, Aunty Jean
brings in
green soup.
Mother-glares at me,
sister-stares with me
at the cold green soup.
Is it medicine,
pond slime,
mushed frogs?
...at least twenty
spoonfuls long.
Silently I say, “Ugh!”
Quietly waiting
at the table…
Aunty Jean brings in
passionfruit cheese-cake,
cream dessert.
Is it more slime,
frog spawn,
tadpole eyes...?
Oh no, it’s a giant slice.
I take one bite…
“Oh,” says Uncle Ron,
“Don’t you like it?”
“Not really,” I murmur.
“All the more for me,”
He smiles,
turns goggle-eyes,
leans across,
adds my slice to his.
Cauldron bubbling,
mixture squelching
sauces oozing
gases belching…
“A glass of milk?”
“Yes please, I’d like
a glass of milk.”
“...and a chocolate frog?”
“No,
No thank-you,
Aunty Green.”

4th grade, food, nonsense,
The Bakers Boys had a bakery for as long as I knew.
We would get fudge, cookies, cakes, and pies from them too.
My grandma bought sourdough and rye.
My mom would buy cookies from no other guy.
Why do you call them boys? I asked my mother.
She had no answer, but I heard snickering from my brother.
You forget she is old too, said my sister, better watch yourself.
Every kind of dessert was laid up on this bakery shelf.
The Baker Boys were in their nineties now.
They added flavored milk which they made from a cow.
Why do they call them boys? Asked my tiny granddaughter.
Not sure I replied. But their bread is fresh if not hotter.

Hey Mr Snail, Mr Snail, Mr. Snail
I want to check my mail, Mr. Snail, Mr. Snail.
Snail rolled his eyes; he was tired of this bug.
Give me a ride, she said, and I will give you a little hug.
I am tired of this harassment, he told her, so the answer is no.
I have never asked for a ride before she said, tickling his toe.
Then who does? He asked her, thinking it was her all along.
She began to sing about her sister, an unflatteringly long song.
So Mr. Snail gave in, for the hundredth time that week.
And the sly lady bug gave her sister a wink and a peek.
They were always checking the mail, they checked it every day.
Just to see if Mr. Snail was still as easy as he was yesterday.

how will we find each other if we get lost? a sister asked the other two.
Let’s fashion some crazy hats, suggested the oldest, Emily Ann Sue.
They argued for a while, one wanted T-rex, which was nixed right away.
They finally settled on scrambled eggs and wore them last Tuesday.

Mottled black and white rooster stood proud on his sled
Can he do handstands and back flips? Asked his cousin Ned.
He could but he won’t, his sister, a rule stickler said.
The rooster listened to all of these expectations with dread.

Whacky? Perhaps but extremely powerful too.
He’s a guinea pig wizard from north Kalamazoo.
We have seen him turn the windows both pink and blue.
He has commanded a crow to fly in from the flue.
We call him Mr. Tibblets Tanglewood Tony Treble Clef Two.
He likes the whole name, he says we simply cannot overdue.
His power and might terrifies my brother and sister too.
He is heading this way, so I suggest you be your best you.
