Zukunftsträume/ Future Dreams / Futuro – Sueños (Sentanka)

Zweige der Sehnsucht
Sie biegen sich bis sie brechen
Im Dunkel der Zeit

Zukunftsräume wachsen oft
Aus dem schon Erlebten

------------------------------------

Branches of desire
They bend until they brake
In darkness of time

Future dreams often grow
From the already experienced

------------------------------------

Ramas del deseo
Doblan hasta que rompen
En la oscuridad del tiempo

Futuro sueños a menudo crecen
Desde los ya experimentados

Sounds like a German thing to me! Beautiful and true. So elegant. Love, Susan

The branches remain as long as we still hang onto desire. At some point, though, the desire fades. Well stated, my friend! You are a master at the tanka form, Gert. Love, Carolyn
