Zoo Mania

I Took my son on a trip to the zoo
There was so much for us to see and do
    One roar from the lion
    My son started crying
The trip was over I was scared to

"One roar from... has the imagery of the poem, while "started crying suggests maybe the door is open for all the places to discover with your son. Very nice. Thx. Jan

Awe, sweet delightful Limerick Faleshia. Lions, and other big animals can be quite intimidating on young children. Congratulations in the contest >> James

Well written Limerick, Faleshia! And of course congrats to your win in the contest! A lion's roaring can for sure frighten children! Thank you for your comments and hope you have a nice Sunday...Gert

very cute, enjoyed reading, I had an experience like that with a Jaguar, that thing screamed and my hair stood straight up, I did not like the way he looked at me.

The zoo CAN be a scary place, Faleshia. Next time maybe you should take your son to see the sea otters or birds. Enjoyed your limerick! Love, Carolyn
