Thank you Mr Pashang, Actually i ve written the full Ghazal but submitted only a single couplet....that is why I chose the form "Ghazal"...since I am new to Poetrysoup...it'll take time to get friendly with it...Seeking your guidance in future as well. Rgrds:

Hi, You mentioned that you submit a couplet, therefore that is not ghazal. Ghazal is a smaller version of qasida (qasida may reach to hundreds of couplets). While qasida is long, ghazal must be between 5-15 couplets. The Poetry soup has a great example for ghazal.... I have few ghazals, you're welcome to check them out.. Pashang

The form is ancient, originating in Arabic poetry in Arabia long before the birth of Islam.(Wikipedia)".....This is very much a Ghazal.....I submitted only a couplet of Ghazal not the entire work.
