Notes About The Poem

Zeus

Zeus was known most as the god of thunder
          among the ancient Greeks;
      a respected god of wonder-
                    whose legend speaks.

Along as maker of lightning and rain-
          the path of stars controlled.
      The rule of day and night did gain;
                    time's passage- mold.

Zeus was honored by both gods and mortals
          as caring, protective-
      kept the peace between both portals.
                    Great perspective!
