Yup, Break's Over

I quit! Yippee! I'm through with work with taking orders from some jerk slaving away for some worthless perk like a title of 'senior associate filing clerk' Yet I find it odd, through some kind of quirk that deep within me yearnings lurk to return to what I'd longed to shirk ~ Yup, time to punch in and go back to work

Sharp and witty, that's how it feels on my (too short) breaks!

Yup, those breaks are always too short, and the grass is usually greener on the other side of our jobs too. Thanks for the great feedback, Michelle. Warmest wishes, Gershon

That's refreshing to hear... Unfortunately (I guess) for me, I miss neither the work nor the people. I've tried to stay in touch, but they all (so far) have responded with the warmth of an Arctic storm. Oh, well. C'est la vie. At any rate, I'm happy for you, Tom! Warm wishes, Gershon

It is fun to imagine an alternative life, then you realize you love what you love.

Grass is never actually greener on the other side, is it?! Thanks for the weigh-in on this one, my friend! :)

We can both be thankful that we have a break that we can enjoy...So many don't have a break 'til they're already broken! Thanks, Line! :-) gw

I know the feeling as I was off for two years before returning in a limited capacity

Whoa. That must have been really tough. Once you 'let go,' it must be hard to 'rein yourself in' again... I'm really glad you responded, T.S., as you've helped me. One never knows what the future may bring. I may have to return to the grind as well. So I'm going to 'steel myself' in the back of my mind, and try to enjoy retirement 'for the time being,' however long that may be(ing). Thank YOU, and best of luck! Cheers, Gershon
