You've Got Me
In the corridors of time, our love took its flight,
A dance that faded but left echoes in the night.
I still love you, that truth stands still,
Though transformed, it's a friend's love, a gentle quill.
We wove a tale, brought life into being,
Our children, a testament to what we were, seeing.
I'll stand by you, my ally and my friend,
In all you pursue, my support will never end.
This transition, a storm we both endure,
Yet within the chaos, a love so pure.
Though we detach, we're forever entwined,
A connection unbroken, an eternal bind.
The hardest part is letting go, it's true,
Yet in this space, a love anew.
Not as spouses, but on the same team,
We'll find balance and happiness, it's not a dream.
Apart we may be, in life's grand scheme,
Yet side by side, in the same dream.
I offer a hug, if ever you're in need,
For our shared history, a delicate seed.
Let's journey forward, a comfortable distance we'll keep,
As you chase your dreams, as I mine reap.
Thank you for being you, in every single way,
In this metamorphosis, gratitude holds sway.
