You'Re Now Not We

You have brought us shame

You have betrayed your name

Airs and graces that don't belong

To someone like you - one of his sons

You can't step up out of your class

You can't change your path or past

You think you're better than us now?

Because you've been educated more some how?

Be proud of the class you were brought up in

Above your station, that's the worst sin

Your fancy skills don't mean a thing

Working hands will always win

Men are men who toil and suffer

Poncey office workers don't know they're born

Remember who's side you're on?

Fancy qualifications you hold maybe?

But we are proud of who we are and you're now not we!

That's not working class - your Poncey degree!

So proud we are about being working class

Take your qualifications and shove them up your a#se!

So proud we are it affects our love for you

Social mobility..........shame on you.
