You'Re Not Alone

Your heart is in shambles
You cry, but still can't shake the pain
But I am in a better place now
For, I had so much more to gain.

As I entered the pearly gates of heaven
And walk the streets of gold
I am now with our savior
And I know my story has been told.

I am watching over you, Granddaughter
No more suffering for me
My heart is with you all
And my soul has been set free.

Our memories will last forever
Now don't you fret nor' cry
Again, someday we will be hand in hand
Then together we will fly.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome. I am currently living in Kentucky. I got out of writing for a while but I actually had one poem published through poetry.com entitled America, Still Standing Tall. In my opinion it wasn't one of my best pieces. Everything I do is from the heart and all depending on how I feel. I am currently working on a fictional horror book entitled Dawn Rose. I have my poetry book and will add a few more in the coming days. Again thanks for making me fell some welcome. Look forward to hearing more from you.
