You're my friend and so much more
You do for me what no one has ever done before
What kind of a friend is this
A friend that I have never known
Never known
Your care is like the first blossom gently falling
It covers me so much I can't see my own past
Your look is so warm like a soft blanket holding
And wrapping me tight at last
You're my friend and so much more

Your mind is open like the wings of a flying dove
Creating a pleasant breeze that rekindles my self-love
Your heart is like the sun's rays hot and bright
Burning away all the fear and drying up my tears of hate
I want to thank you for all that you are and all that you do
You're an incredible human being, compassionate and true
You're not quick to judge and you listen with patience
Thank you, I really mean it
