Your Un-Better Man

I know what you're thinking, How did we get along, It was going so perfect, But I had to make it up all wrong, And I know that you're thinking, About the good ol' days, How you never noticed, but when you did you saw my ugly face, And all the ugly things of mine, which were earlier fine, Now seem to bother you, All those walks we had,how I lost thy friendship, In order to make your love mine, But this wasn't lust, this was something true, If love is blind,I lost my eyes when I looked at you, Girl, you always wanted a better man, Wanted someone true, I was here all the while, Wanting to be with you, But girls about them,I'll tell you one thing, They'll date anyone, but not somebody like you! I'll tell you what I'm thinking, About a few people who think I'm cheap, Whenever it rains,it feels like the clouds weep, For them my love's a lie, just a physical attraction, My words never spoke, nor could my actions For these words I never said to you,let me say I wanted to be your better man, Always stick beside you, Do things that you like, and heal you if I wound you, Now all I am searching in life, Is for a direction to follow, and a thing to do, For beautiful are many girls, but I'll never find anyone like you.
