Your True Reflection

If you look in the mirror, What do you see? “I see a friend who could never be anything more I see a friend who is a star shining bright Across the ocean in the midnight sky. I see one who is always there, Not liking to say goodbye. One who is braver than a lion itself, Purer than the pure white dove. You ask me “What kind of friend am I?” I answer you with this; “You are more than a friend to me- You are like the wind Blowing back and forth You shine the sun, And sparkle like the stars. You are the softness of the clouds, The whisper of a breeze” You ask me “Am I worth all this? You deserve better” I reassure you that you are worth all this. I want you in my life, No-one could disagree, That we are like the moon and the stars, Or salt and pepper Like fish and chips. We stick together like glue – you and me And you still ask yourself “Am I worth it?” I answer with a familiar reply.. I say.. “I couldn’t live my life without you, Someone who is their selves. Someone who doesn't make me feel like anyone but me. So don’t change, don’t go away Just be you and I will and do love you for that.
