Your Smile

You smile,
a fleeting lift of lips
like a butterfly in flight.
Your mouth jerks
like the trigger finger
and like a trained soldier
you command it to stillness.

I see your eyes,
pearls of your soul,
priceless fortunes,
glittering jewels.
They glow with gaiety
as you smile.

A wink of your eyes
captures my eyes,
setting in motion
my bliss and merriment!
