Your Return
When, my Lord, shall You return,
When , to calm my heart in burn?
For, ages, I have searched the skies,
And tears, I shed from aching eyes.
At every thunder roaring high,
I hope to see the face of Thine.
At every lightning gleaming by,
I hope to meet You in the skies!
For, like a child away from home,
And like a leaf amidst the storm,
I seek the path I lost, the way
That leads me home when I'm astray.
