Your Mind
Your mind is yours and yours alone
Only you are in complete control
Others may try to influence you
Push their thoughts or take you in
If you listen with an open mind
Only you can say when it will change.
A mind should be filled with learning
Of kind deeds, love and compassion
Never prejudice or hate or harm
Those will take up too much room
You will be judged by other minds
By what is held within your own.
When you speak your thoughts
Will they be welcomed or ignored
Spoken with hatred and disgust
Or instead bring life and caring
Meaning to inform and reaffirm
The good in man around the world.
