Your Mind

you suffocate
gasping for breath
while your lungs breathe fine
your heart hurts as it races
as beats just as normal
you scream of pain
but no one sees it ache
your voice croaks
words utter past your cords
yet you are still not heard
you submerge in the crowd
eyes sinking you to the ground
your legs go weak
they wobble as you try to stand tall
lonely cold winds encircle you
you are on your own
what is it that makes you this way
what is it that can make you
or break you?

the answer lies within your mind
it is your mind
