Your Love Pulls Me
Your Love Pulls Me
The world is grey, a muted hum,
A quiet place, my fingers numb,
I tread along a steady beat,
Rolling through my life, incomplete.
Then our eyes speak, a burst of light,
A sunrise after a dark night,
A gentle flame begins to glow,
A sassy seed sets off to sow.
Your love pulls me as a strong tide,
That washes over, deep inside;
Like the moon that calls the sky`s grace,
Your presence fills this empty space.
I try with zeal to hold my ground,
Where hard and safe land can be found;
But your smile, a light in the haze,
Leads me through these tough, tangled ways.
Like petals drawn towards the sun,
My shattered spirit starts to run
Towards the warmth, the light, the grace,
Found shining brightly in your face.
A subtle force, a hidden tie,
That binds my soul to where yours lie,
A constant pull, a gentle sway,
Your love pulls me along your way.
Though I may stumble, sometimes fall,
Your sagacious ears heed my call,
A steady anchor in the storm,
Keeping my heart safe, sound and warm.
Let the current take its firm hold,
A story waiting to be told,
Of how your love, so pure and true,
Forever pulls me close to you.
It is the story of two souls
Secured together as a whole,
Jointly tied across time and space,
Never to part with heaven`s grace.
