Your Jars of Hearts

Your blue sapphire eyes, Staring right at me. You took me by surprise, I had no way to flee. Walked right up to me, With your hand in your pocket. You said you were made for me, And gifted me a little silver locket. I should’ve known better, Than to fall like all your preys. But I was bewitched by your spells, And I yearned for you every day. What do you think you’re doing? Racing around; stealing hearts? Filling them in your jars? And tearing your lovers apart? We are all blind folded, Walking towards your charms. We are wasting our emotions, Letting you snatch our hearts. At first, I didn’t really mind that, You took away my heart too. But why didn’t you take care of it? When you said it belonged to you… Who do you think you are? Running around; hurting hearts? Collecting them in your jars? And tearing your lovers apart?
