Your Heart In Mine

your Heart In Mine (c) 2025 by Russ Dodson Your heart in mine Held here within this burned out husk Has brightened all the distant places Filled up all the empty spaces with the essence of your soul divine So I proceed with utmost trust; Reclaiming feelings from the rust, As we progress through lives love, dust to dust Your heart in mine

Hello, Russel it's a very short poem. Your heart in Mine sounds like it's about love, I don't know. I invite you to visit my poetrysoup home page and comment on some of them. It is good for your soul & also a way for me to know that u also visited. Thank you in advance. ~Jac---> my Jackie was a bad girl, it's sort for my real name and so that we have a Jac in girls.

Jac, Thank you for your response to My Heart In Yours. I just restructured and rewrote it. I like it much better now. And yes, it is a love poem and a declaration of a state of being 'entangled' - my lover is a collaborator and co-author of many of our poems and lyrics. In our collaborations we style ourselves as (variously) The Quantum Couple and/or The Entangled Pair - both relating to the 'quantum entanglement' state of quantum physics.
