Young As You Feel

"Young as You Feel"
As he describes it, “I was crying when he met me.” She said - “He might see me in a movie. And I would want to do my best. I can’t say he gave me a feeling of security but, he treated me as a human being, He was a sensitive human being, and he treated me as a sensitive human being." "One day he will see me." While various records in literature and media suggest Dimaggio loved her (apparently until time of his death), he was physically abusive towards her. Miller was her best match, but his balls left him in the end through self-preservation. She was too much of a 'flame', his spine gave out in the end due to the fear of being burnt. From what I can see, there were no solid men/or women standing with her when she needed support the most. She was out there, basically, on her own with a hell of a lot of dents and cracks in her psychological make-up. Both doctors and psychologists failed her.

Dynamic personality. She was indeed beautiful. It is easy to see why so many were enchanted by her. Never be another Marilyn. Nice presentation. Thank you for sharing.

She was over-sexualised through child sex abuse from her earliest years (through no fault of her own), a mother with a mental diagnosis and the young girl thrown into sexually abusive foster care. As her life progressed, she reached out for love, attention and recognition by making use of what the abuse taught her. She was surviving as best she could. I think she was highly intelligent, quite possibly bi-polar, definitely cptsd from the fallout of abuse through her formative years and into adult life the abuse emotional and sexual. Clinically depressed. She was certainly courageous to keep acting through it all. I was listening to this last night - she was highly intelligent and articulate. Definitely Hoover and the mob. The Kennedy's played their part in her demise as well, they were no saints.

Kennedy's I think maybe yes. Mob no. LBJ and mob, a real possibility. Karma is a son-of-a-gun. She, I think was loved by Frank, Joe and many others despite their fall-outs. Drugs will destroy anyone. There is no compromise. My guess, women sold them too her as well -- abuse and stupidity are unisex-garments) Who knows. I thought she was fantastic person. God, if people judged me entirely by my wrongs I would be in flames right now. Hang in there. I think you are a splendid artist, but I am no expert on anything. I just do my best.

She was messed up from childhood, no doubt about that, but I think it's highly misunderstood she was a bimbo. I think quite a serious, intelligent, sensitive woman. Miller saw the potential. I don't think it was a suicide, I think the Kennedy brothers played a role in it along with the Mob. And Hoover / LBJ all behind the lot. Of course she was surrounded by men who made sure she had a constant supply of drugs and alchohol, when she was at her weakest. Her death and the characters around her, a mystery. What drew me initially to writing a poem about Marilyn, was her relationship with DiMaggio compared with Miller. Have no fear...I'm in a far different mindspace than Marilyn Monroe. Feet on the ground, the now writing, the future I will continue to write, but less, with full-time study approaching.
