You Too Will Go
You too will go
In wake of time
When I have lost
Rhythm and rhyme
When beauty is
No longer mine
Again mortal
And not divine
It’s just the way
The way of life
What fascinates
Will lose its glow
And this sad truth
I surely know
Like all others
Down this long line
Who found me sweet
But for a time
You too will go
You too will go
When all my words
No longer fill
And written lines
No longer thrill
When what I write
Is seen as stale
Nothing
No nothing will prevail
You too will go
You too will go
Like you have gone
Some time before
For others that
You did adore
When wonder fades
And skies turn grey
When darkness crowds
The light of day
You too will go
And I will stay
Yes, I will stay
Left here to pray
For LOVE to come
