You Said

You said you wouldn't do it You'd NEVER break my heart You said that you would keep it And not let it fall apart You said that you would cherish Hold dear each word I say You said that you would love me All through the night and day You said that I’m a beauty I'm sure you said..."Divine!" You said that I’m alluring In all ways quite sublime You said I'm super sexy With power to turn "on" You said you love my tresses You said your heart I’d won You said...you said...you said I heard...and...I believed And yet I’m left to wonder Why now all alone…I bleed Eileen Manassian Ghali This is a rant...You can see it in a broad sense as a rant against men who with words of honey, make women fall for them and then leave.... Oh...Chapter two...REVENGE of the jilted woman! HA HA! "For heaven knoweth not the wrath of a woman scorned!" Xena mode coming ON! Join me, women, will you? ;)

Sometimes love makes us bleed alone, so that we can taste love's blood, remembering that Its not gone. I have tasted this sweet torment too. You are ravishing in your rant Eileen...J.A.B.

Ravishing is one of the words that I love with a passion. Lovely post...I love to rant now and then....I am not usually heard...So, ranting here is liberating.

No, Eileen, I do not think you are generalizing, not really. But I know of a certain woman who hates men, for the simple reason that when she was young she was jilted by her first love, and never recovered. Looking forward to 'revenge"!! // paul

You are so aware of my feelings, Paul...it is an uncanny gift that you have! No...if you read my post script, you will see that I wrote... YOU CAN see this as....Of course, my poem springs out of personal experience, but if I am honest....I know that we women can be as much to blame. Thank you for your visit. The reason some are like that is that they are looking for the honey. They present themselves as lovers of women but in the end they have no love in their hearts, not even for themselves. A very affective way to start a conversation. There are certain women who also can fit this description although they may be seeking a different kind of honey that starts with an M.

Robert, thank you for your visit. Yes, we tend to generalize and stereotype. I do realize the evil in doing that, but...sometimes it's just good to vent in a poem. I appreciate your visit.

You are right, Eileen. Many men will use their honey and charm to lure a woman into their web of seduction. they weave a tapestry of lies hiding their true intentions. hope and trust have vanished from many a woman until they no longer trust any man. It's sad how deceit can changes a person. Very well written.... Robert.

I really enjoyed reading this poem.Yes some people have a way of playing with others'emotions,Yes these kind of people do exist.They do try to fool around not realizing that in the end they are the biggest fools,themselves.Eileen I am hearing the eye of the tiger song and I can hear you roar: ).I join you sweet girl..Grrrrrrrr.Nailfiling my nails :.)
