You Make Me Smile

Each time you walk
through that door,
you make me smile

When you say,
“good morning love”
a smile rushes in
like this river across my face

You speak to me
with prefect clarity
Those warm hugs
surrounded me

Then, I laugh
with an angel's joy.
knowing that
your words are
like these wild cinnamon wings
that nourish my soul

Each time you walk through
that golden door,
you make me smile
in perfect harmony

Then, let me say it,
"I love you so"
